The spokesperson for the Iranian government, Fatemeh Mohajerani, announced today (Monday) that the Iranian stock exchange and financial markets will remain closed until further notice due to ongoing military tensions with Israel. She added that the decision was made "to protect the financial assets of citizens." Since the onset of the conflict, the Iranian rial has sharply declined against foreign currencies.

This announcement follows a government decision issued earlier today regarding the closure of the Tehran bazaar amid continued Israeli strikes. The closure decision did not include local banks operating in Iran.

For the fourth consecutive day, Israeli airstrikes continue on Iran, targeting Iranian nuclear facilities, defense capabilities, and military infrastructure.
