«سيتي جروب» يتوقع تراجع الدولار

Bank of "Citigroup" expects the dollar to continue its declines coinciding with the meetings of the G7 leaders this week to discuss currency-related policies as part of their trade negotiations with the U.S.

Bank strategists clarified in a note as reported by "Bloomberg": "It is unlikely that Washington will aggressively seek to devalue the dollar, but the U.S. currency may eventually decline as the United States reaches agreements with its trading partners to reduce tariffs."

The bank believes that raising the value of some countries' currencies could be among the U.S. demands in trade negotiations, and that Japan, China, and possibly other countries in East Asia may be targeted in this regard.

The Japanese Finance Minister stated earlier today that he is arranging to hold a bilateral meeting with U.S. Treasury Secretary "Scott Pessen" this week to discuss topics including currency.
