The International Conference and Exhibition for Refining, Petrochemicals, and Manufacturing Industries was inaugurated in the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister - may God protect him. The event was held under the slogan "Energy Innovation.. Creating Sustainable Value," and was attended by Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Daina, Minister of Oil and Environment and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, along with more than 5,000 senior officials, experts, specialists, academics, and stakeholders in the oil and petrochemical industries.

On this occasion, Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Daina affirmed the attention that the oil and gas sector receives from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the country - may God protect and preserve him, and the support that the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister - may God protect him, provides for programs and initiatives aimed at developing this vital sector.

He praised the pioneering role played by Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bapco Energies, in following up on the implementation of quality initiatives in the oil and energy sector, and his continuous support for development and innovation projects, affirming that this support has contributed to the launch and implementation of important strategic projects that have enhanced the position of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the manufacturing and energy sectors.

He confirmed the continued commitment to providing the necessary components to ensure the success of various events and conferences hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain, in line with the objectives of the comprehensive development journey, noting that oil, gas, and petrochemical conferences represent high-level global platforms in the Middle East, contributing to the exchange of experiences, showcasing the latest innovations, and supporting the sustainability of this vital industry. He also pointed out that the International Conference and Exhibition for Refining, Petrochemicals, and Manufacturing Industries offers a unique opportunity to enhance communication between experts and entrepreneurs, showcase key oil projects, and explore ways to develop manufacturing and operational excellence to achieve added value for the manufacturing industries in the region.

The minister indicated that manufacturing industries represent a key pillar in the economic development strategies of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries due to their prominent role in opening wide horizons for quality investments, supporting economic diversification plans, and enhancing the region's competitiveness in global markets by adopting the latest technologies and sustainable practices to keep pace with international changes in the fields of energy and the environment.

The Minister of Oil and Environment also highlighted the importance of continuing to empower national cadres as partners in the development of manufacturing industries, emphasizing that investing in qualifying young national talents and providing them with opportunities for active participation in energy and advanced industries projects contributes to establishing a solid knowledge base, ensuring the sustainability of these vital sectors, and enhancing the competitiveness of GCC countries on a global level in manufacturing and innovation.

In conclusion, Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Daina noted the pivotal role played by the Gulf Organization for the Development of the Refining Industry (GDA) in organizing this qualitative event, expressing his gratitude and appreciation for the efforts of all supporting companies, participants, and speakers from various countries around the world, who reflected a commitment to supporting the sustainability and development of the sector, in line with the aspirations of the upcoming phase and enhancing the region's position on the global map of manufacturing industries.
