أعلنت هيئة الاستثمار السورية 12 مشروعاً استثماريّاً بقيمة إجمالية تبلغ 14 مليار دولار. وأوضح رئيس هيئة الاستثمار السورية طلال الهلالي، خلال مؤتمر استثماري عقد بالعاصمة دمشق اليوم، لتوقيع مذكرات تفاهم استثمارية مع عدد من الشركات الدولية في قصر الشعب بدمشق، بحضور الرئيس السوري أحمد الشرع، أن من أبرز المشاريع المعلنة: استثمار في مطار دمشق الدولي يبلغ أربعة مليارات دولار، والاستثمار في مترو دمشق بمبلغ ملياري دولار، ومشروع حيوي للبنية التحتية والتنقل الحضري، وأبراج دمشق باستثمار ملياري دولار، وأبراج البرامكة باستثمار 500 مليون دولار، ومول البرامكة باستثمار 60 مليون دولار.
وأفاد الهلالي أن المشاريع ستمتد عبر سورية لتشكل نقلة نوعية في البنية التحتية والحياة الاقتصادية.
من جهته، قال المبعوث الأمريكي الخاص إلى سورية توماس باراك، أثناء حضوره مراسم توقيع مذكرات التفاهم الاستثمارية: «إن الأرض السورية تنتج العظماء، ودمشق تعتبر مركزاً للتجارة والنقل منذ آلاف السنين».
يذكر أن سورية وقعت مع السعودية، في يوليو الماضي اتفاقات استثمارية قيمتها 6.4 مليار دولار في إطار سعيها لإعادة الإعمار بعد حرب أهلية استمرت نحو 14 عاماً.

The Syrian Investment Authority announced 12 investment projects with a total value of 14 billion dollars. The head of the Syrian Investment Authority, Talal Al-Halali, explained during an investment conference held in the capital, Damascus, today, for signing investment memorandums of understanding with several international companies at the People's Palace in Damascus, in the presence of Syrian President Ahmad Al-Shara, that among the most notable announced projects are: an investment in Damascus International Airport amounting to four billion dollars, investment in the Damascus Metro for two billion dollars, a vital project for infrastructure and urban mobility, Damascus Towers with an investment of two billion dollars, Baramkeh Towers with an investment of 500 million dollars, and Baramkeh Mall with an investment of 60 million dollars.
Al-Halali stated that the projects will extend across Syria to create a qualitative leap in infrastructure and economic life.
For his part, the U.S. Special Envoy to Syria, Thomas Barak, said during the signing ceremony of the investment memorandums: "The Syrian land produces great individuals, and Damascus has been a center for trade and transport for thousands of years."
It is worth noting that Syria signed investment agreements worth 6.4 billion dollars with Saudi Arabia last July as part of its efforts to rebuild after a civil war that lasted nearly 14 years.
