أعلن مهرجان البحر الأحمر السينمائي الدولي اختيار 40 مشروعا سينمائيا وتلفزيونيا ضمن قائمة «سوق المشاريع» في سوق البحر الأحمر لعام 2025، تعزيزا لدوره كمنصة رائدة لاكتشاف المواهب ودعم الإنتاجات المشتركة من العالم العربي وآسيا وأفريقيا.
وتتميز المشاريع المختارة بتنوع أساليبها السردية ورؤاها الإبداعية، بمشاركة نسائية تمثل أكثر من 42% من إجمالي المشاريع.
وتشمل القائمة 24 مشروعا قيد التطوير والإنتاج، من بينها 12 مشروعا من برنامج تطوير الأفلام الطويلة في «معامل البحر الأحمر»، بالشراكة مع «معمل تورينو السينمائي» وبدعم من «فيلم العُلا»، إلى جانب 12 مشروعا أخرى ستحظى بتدريب متخصص في عرض المشاريع.
وتضم القائمة 8 أفلام طويلة في مرحلة ما بعد الإنتاج، و8 مشاريع لمسلسلات درامية يجري تطويرها ضمن «معمل المسلسلات»؛ ما يعكس التوسّع المستمر للسوق في مجالات الإنتاج السمعي البصري.
وشهدت الدورة الحالية زيادة بنسبة 35% في المشاركات الآسيوية بعد فتح باب التقديم أمام صناع الأفلام في القارة، ومشاركة 18 مخرجا بأعمالهم الطويلة الأولى، إلى جانب عودة عدد من خريجي السوق السابقين لتقديم مشاريع جديدة.
وتلقى «سوق البحر الأحمر» أكثر من 1900 طلب مشاركة من المملكة والعالم العربي وآسيا وأفريقيا، خضعت جميعها لمراجعة لجنة دولية متخصصة، فيما ستحظى المشاريع المختارة ببرنامج توجيهي مكثّف استعدادا لعرضها أمام شركاء الصناعة خلال فعاليات المهرجان في ديسمبر القادم.
وأكدت مديرة سوق البحر الأحمر هولي دانيال أن البرنامج يشكّل منصة حيوية تجمع الأصوات الجديدة وتتيح التعاون لتطوير مشاريع مبتكرة، مشيرة إلى أن السوق تحتفل هذا العام بمرور 5 أعوام على انطلاقها ومواصلة دعم المواهب وصنّاع السينما في مختلف مراحل مسيرتهم الإبداعية.
يُذكر أن جميع المشاريع المشاركة تُعد مؤهلة للحصول على جوائز نقدية من «صندوق البحر الأحمر»، إضافة إلى جوائز مقدمة من شركاء السوق لدعم مراحل التطوير والإنتاج وما بعد الإنتاج، علاوة على دعم مخصص للمشاريع المشاركة ضمن برنامجي تطوير الأفلام الطويلة ومعمل المسلسلات.
The Red Sea International Film Festival announced the selection of 40 film and television projects for the "Project Market" list at the Red Sea Market for 2025, reinforcing its role as a leading platform for discovering talent and supporting co-productions from the Arab world, Asia, and Africa.
The selected projects are characterized by a diversity of narrative styles and creative visions, with female participation representing more than 42% of the total projects.
The list includes 24 projects in development and production, among which are 12 projects from the feature film development program at the "Red Sea Labs," in partnership with the "Torino Film Lab" and supported by "Film AlUla," alongside 12 other projects that will receive specialized training in project pitching.
The list features 8 feature films in post-production and 8 projects for drama series being developed within the "Series Lab," reflecting the continuous expansion of the market in the fields of audiovisual production.
This current edition witnessed a 35% increase in Asian submissions after opening the application process to filmmakers on the continent, with 18 directors participating with their first feature films, in addition to the return of several alumni from previous markets to present new projects.
The "Red Sea Market" received over 1900 applications from the Kingdom, the Arab world, Asia, and Africa, all of which were reviewed by a specialized international committee, while the selected projects will benefit from an intensive mentoring program in preparation for their presentation to industry partners during the festival events next December.
Holly Daniel, the director of the Red Sea Market, confirmed that the program serves as a vital platform that brings together new voices and enables collaboration to develop innovative projects, noting that the market is celebrating this year its 5th anniversary since its launch and continues to support talents and filmmakers at various stages of their creative journey.
It is worth mentioning that all participating projects are eligible for cash prizes from the "Red Sea Fund," in addition to awards provided by market partners to support development, production, and post-production stages, as well as dedicated support for projects participating in the feature film development and series lab programs.
