The Egyptian singer Amal Maher broke down in tears live on air while talking about her father's death, expressing her deep sorrow and great pain over his loss, especially in light of the crises and difficulties she faced over the past years.

Details of the Last Moments in Her Father's Life

Amal Maher said during her appearance on the program "I Have a Question" that her father was her true support, noting that her life would have changed significantly if he were still alive. She added that she went through a difficult phase after his passing, which became even harsher with the death of her aunt shortly thereafter.

Amal Maher recalled touching details about the last hours of her father's life, explaining that he fell into a coma in her arms and passed away on the first day of Eid. She pointed out that in his final days, he did not remember anyone but her, and he kept calling her name until his last moments.

Suffering After Loss and Severe Depression

Amal Maher revealed her struggle with severe depression after her father's death, confirming that she lost the ability to sleep and had to take sedatives. She mentioned that she lived for years in isolation, during which she drew closer to God and regained her strength.

Amal added in her talk: "There were times I would sit for 48 hours not able to sleep, and I completely isolated myself from people, until I reached a point where I was giving myself the injection, and I said I wouldn't need anyone or wait for help from anyone, even though I am afraid of needles in the first place."

A Long Friendship with the Artist of the Arabs

Amal spoke about her relationship with the Saudi artist Mohammed Abdu, describing their friendship as deep both humanly and artistically. She noted that he visited her during her illness in Morocco, and they sang together until dawn, confirming that they continue to stay in touch to check on each other's health from time to time.
