توقف قلب الفنان العراقي إياد الطائي بعد أن فارق الحياة عن عمر 60 عاماً، عقب معاناة مع المرض في الأشهر الأخيرة.
وقالت نقابة الفنانين العراقيين، اليوم (الجمعة) إن الطائي توفي إثر مرض عضال، ووصفته بالممثل المتميز الذي قدّم مئات الأعمال التلفزيونية والمسرحية المميزة، وأعمالًا مميزة في الساحة الثقافية.
وعانى الطائي من عجز في الكليتين، وورم خبيث في الكبد، وتلقى العلاج في الهند خلال الأشهر الماضية، وبدا في الصور التي ظهر فيها خلال رحلة العلاج شاحباً وقد خسر جزءاً من وزنه.
واجه الممثل العراقي ضائقة مالية خلال فترة علاجه، رغم مسيرة فنية امتدت أكثر من 25 عامًا، شملت نحو 45 مسلسلًا وعددًا من الأعمال والمسرحية.
وأعلنت نقابة الفنانين العراقيين، في وقتٍ سابق، أن رئيس الحكومة العراقية، محمد شيّاع السوداني، وجه النقابة «بتحمّل كافة نفقات علاج الفنان إياد الطائي في دولة الهند من منحة رئيس مجلس الوزراء لصندوق تكافل الفنانين».
وإياد الطائي من مواليد العام 1965، وحاصل على البكالوريوس في الفنون المسرحية، وهو عضو اتحاد المسرحيين العراقيين، وقام بالتدريس في معهد الفنون الجميلة.
وشارك الطائي بدور أبو بلال في مسلسل «عفو عام» الذي عُرض في شهر رمضان الماضي، وتصدرت صوره البوستر الرسمي للمسلسل ببدلة رسمية وعباءة رجالية تعكس الهيبة.
وتضم قائمة المسلسلات التلفزيونية التي شارك فيها بأدوار رئيسة وفرعية مختلفة: حدث في الهاوية، مناوي باشا، أيام التحدي، علي الوردي، الباشا، سنوات تحت الرماد، حامض حلو، ضربة زاوية، وآخر مسلسلاته عفو عام.
The heart of Iraqi artist Iyad Al-Taie stopped after he passed away at the age of 60, following a struggle with illness in recent months.
The Iraqi Artists Syndicate stated today (Friday) that Al-Taie died due to a terminal illness, describing him as a distinguished actor who presented hundreds of remarkable television and theatrical works, as well as notable contributions to the cultural scene.
Al-Taie suffered from kidney failure and a malignant tumor in the liver, and he received treatment in India over the past months. In the photos that appeared during his treatment journey, he looked pale and had lost some weight.
The Iraqi actor faced financial difficulties during his treatment, despite a career that spanned more than 25 years, which included about 45 series and several theatrical works.
The Iraqi Artists Syndicate announced earlier that the Prime Minister of Iraq, Mohammed Shia' al-Sudani, directed the syndicate "to cover all the treatment expenses for artist Iyad Al-Taie in India from the Prime Minister's grant to the Artists' Solidarity Fund."
Iyad Al-Taie was born in 1965 and holds a bachelor's degree in theatrical arts. He is a member of the Iraqi Theater Union and has taught at the Institute of Fine Arts.
Al-Taie participated in the role of Abu Bilal in the series "General Amnesty," which aired last Ramadan, and his images featured prominently on the official poster of the series, dressed in a formal suit and a men's cloak that reflects dignity.
The list of television series in which he participated with various main and supporting roles includes: "Happened in the Abyss," "Manawi Pasha," "Days of Challenge," "Ali Al-Wardi," "The Pasha," "Years Under the Ashes," "Sour Sweet," "Corner Hit," and his latest series "General Amnesty."
