ألقي القبض على ممثل تلفزيوني هندي على صلة بمزاعم تتعلق بجريمة اغتصاب خلال حفل بمنزل في منطقة سيفيل لاينز بنيودلهي في أغسطس الماضي.
ونقل موقع صحيفة «تايمز أوف إنديا»، عن نائب مفوض الشرطة الهندية راجا بانتيا، قوله: «ألقينا القبض على الممثل التلفزيوني أشيش كابور من بوني» بولاية مهاراشترا.
وفي أغسطس، اتهمت الضحية البالغة من العمر 24 عاما التي تعمل في شركة خاصة وتقيم في بنجابي باج، مجموعة من الأشخاص بتخديرها واغتصابها في حفل في منطقة سيفيل لاينز.
وأبلغت الضحية الشرطة، بأن صديقا اتصل بها ودعاها إلى الحفل الذي أقيم في مسكن صديق آخر.
وبحسب ما أفادت به، فإنها رأت في الحفل 5 أشخاص بينهم صديقها وامرأة أخرى، وتفيد المزاعم بأن المجموعة مزجت مادة مخدرة في مشروبها ما أدى لفقدانها الوعي وتعرضت بعده لاغتصاب جماعي.
وأكدت الشابة أيضا أنها تعرضت للضرب وأنه جرى تصوير الاعتداء، وهددها المتهمون بنشر المقطع على الإنترنت في حال أبلغت عن الواقعة.
وفر المشتبه بهم وتركوها خارج المنزل، وجرى تسجيل الواقعة في 11 أغسطس.
ولم يتم الكشف عن هوية الضحية لحماية خصوصيتها وفقا لتوجيهات المحكمة العليا بشأن القضايا المتعلقة بالاعتداء الجنسي.
An Indian television actor has been arrested in connection with allegations related to a rape crime during a party at a house in the Civil Lines area of New Delhi last August.
According to the Times of India, Indian police deputy commissioner Raja Pantia stated: "We have arrested television actor Ashish Kapoor from Pune" in the state of Maharashtra.
In August, the 24-year-old victim, who works at a private company and resides in Punjabi Bagh, accused a group of individuals of drugging and raping her at a party in the Civil Lines area.
The victim reported to the police that a friend contacted her and invited her to the party held at another friend's residence.
According to her account, she saw 5 people at the party, including her friend and another woman. The allegations state that the group mixed a narcotic substance in her drink, which led to her losing consciousness and subsequently being gang-raped.
The young woman also confirmed that she was beaten and that the assault was filmed, with the suspects threatening to publish the footage online if she reported the incident.
The suspects fled, leaving her outside the house, and the incident was reported on August 11.
The victim's identity has not been disclosed to protect her privacy, in accordance with the Supreme Court's directives regarding cases related to sexual assault.
