عبدالله الناصر يحاضر عن «الطائف بعيون كشفية» في جمعية «الأدبي»

The "Taif Literary Association," represented by the Farqad Creative Group within the association, organized a lecture by Abdullah bin Ahmed Al-Nasser titled (Taif Through Scout Eyes) yesterday evening (Tuesday), attended by a number of writers, intellectuals, scout leaders, historians, and interested individuals.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the "Taif Literary Association," Attallah bin Musfer Al-Juaid, explained that the evening is the second podium event for the association after it transitioned to its new name.

During the evening, Abdullah Al-Nasser reviewed some of his impressions of Taif in 1390 AH and shared old scenes and names.

He then spoke in the second part of the lecture about the definition of scouting, the establishment of global scouting, the establishment of Saudi scouting, the beginning of scouting activities in Taif, and the role of Hassan Al-Abadi and other pioneers and scout leaders in the development and success of this field.

He touched upon the establishment of the Saudi Scout Pioneers Association and its members, showcasing many interesting photos and evidence about Taif and the development of the scouting movement there.

At the end of the lecture, the evening's director, Ruba Al-Maliki, opened the floor for interventions and contributions from the audience, with scouts Sami Al-Asimi, Khalid Al-Thuqafi, Turki Al-Maliki, Mohammed Al-Harazi, Abdullah Al-Asmari, and Saeed Al-Khoutani participating. The session concluded with remarks from the president of the "Taif Literary Association," Attallah Al-Juaid. Following that, poet Abdulrahman Al-Harithi recited a poem about Taif, praising the lecturer and the scouting movement in Taif, which was well-received by everyone.

At the end of the evening, the association's president, Attallah Al-Juaid, along with some of the lecturer's colleagues from the scout leaders, participated in honoring the lecturer and the evening's director. The lecturer then gifted signed copies of his book (Half of Dreams) to the attendees.
