أعلن الفنان المصري أسامة عباس اعتزال التمثيل نهائياً لرغبته في الاستمتاع بحياته الشخصية بهدوء بعيداً عن الأضواء.
وقال عباس في مداخلة هاتفية عبر برنامج «تفاصيل»: «مبسوط بوقتي خصوصا بعد ما بطلت أشارك في أي أعمال فنية أو بمعنى أصح لما بعدت عن التمثيل، اللي بيتعرض عليا ميستهلش أعمله لأنه دون المستوى، ولو عملته أي شخص مقتنع بقدراتي الفنية هيقولي إزاي يا أسامة تعمل ده».
وأوضح أنه قد يتراجع عن هذا القرار ويعود إلى حياته الفنية إذا حصل على دور مميز ومختلف، مؤكداً متابعته للأعمال الدرامية التي تُعرض حالياً، معتبراً أنها مختلفة تماماً عن الدراما في الزمن الماضي، وهذا «أمر طبيعي لأن كل زمان له وقت وكل جيل يقدم ما يعيش فيه».
The Egyptian artist Osama Abbas announced his permanent retirement from acting, as he wishes to enjoy his personal life quietly away from the spotlight.
Abbas said in a phone interview on the program "Details": "I am happy with my time, especially after I stopped participating in any artistic works, or rather, when I distanced myself from acting. What is being offered to me is not worth doing because it is below standard, and if I did it, anyone who believes in my artistic abilities would say to me, 'How, Osama, can you do this?'
He explained that he might reconsider this decision and return to his artistic life if he receives a distinguished and different role, affirming that he follows the dramatic works currently being aired, considering that they are completely different from the dramas of the past, and this is "a natural thing because every era has its time and every generation presents what it lives in."
