فاز الفيلم الوثائقي الأردني «أسفلت» بجائزة الفيلم الوثائقي قيد الإنجاز خلال فعاليات مهرجان كان السينمائي الدولي 2025 في دورته الـ78.
وأعلنت الهيئة الملكية الأردنية للأفلام عبر منصاتها الرسمية على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي فوز المخرج الأردني حمزة حميدة بجائزة «الوثائقي قيد الإنجاز»، وذلك عن فيلم «أسفلت» ضمن برنامج Cannes Docs في سوق مهرجان كان السينمائي الدولي، مشيرة إلى أن ذلك الفوز يسلط الضوء على نمو السينما الأردنية في كافة المحافل الدولية، مؤكدة في بيانها أن الفيلم نال دعماً مباشراً، إذ حصل على منحة إنتاج الأفلام الوثائقية الطويلة.
وعبرت الهيئة عن فخرها بالإنجاز الذي استطاع المخرج الأردني تحقيقه، وجاء نص البيان: «نفخر بهذا الإنجاز ونتمنى لهما دوام التقدم والنجاح في مشوارهما الفني»، في إشارة إلى كل من المخرج حمزة حميدة والمنتج محمود المساد.
يتناول الفيلم قصة الشاب الفلسطيني ديبس، العشريني الذي يعيش في مخيم البقعة في الأردن ويحلم بالزواج من حبيبته. لكن حياته تنقلب رأساً على عقب بعد فقدانه عدداً من أقاربه في غزة، ما يضطره إلى تأجيل الزفاف ومواجهة واقع سياسي واجتماعي قاسٍ.
The Jordanian documentary film "Asphalt" won the Documentary Film in Progress Award during the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, in its 78th edition.
The Royal Film Commission of Jordan announced through its official platforms on social media that Jordanian director Hamza Hamida won the "Documentary in Progress" award for the film "Asphalt" as part of the Cannes Docs program at the Cannes Film Festival market, noting that this win highlights the growth of Jordanian cinema in all international forums. In its statement, it confirmed that the film received direct support, having been awarded a grant for the production of feature-length documentaries.
The commission expressed its pride in the achievement that the Jordanian director was able to accomplish, stating in the announcement: "We are proud of this achievement and wish him continued progress and success in his artistic journey," referring to both director Hamza Hamida and producer Mahmoud Al-Masad.
The film tells the story of a young Palestinian named Dibbs, in his twenties, who lives in the Baqaa camp in Jordan and dreams of marrying his beloved. However, his life turns upside down after losing several relatives in Gaza, forcing him to postpone the wedding and confront a harsh political and social reality.
