أعلن سوق البحر الأحمر فتح باب التقديم لـ«سوق المشاريع» و«عروض الأفلام قيد الإنجاز»، ضمن فعاليات الدورة الخامسة من مهرجان البحر الأحمر السينمائي الدولي، والمقرر إقامتها في «البلد»، جدة التاريخية، من 4 إلى 13 ديسمبر.
ويُقام سوق البحر الأحمر في الفترة من 6 إلى 10 ديسمبر، ويستقطب مجموعة من صناع السينما والمستثمرين والمهنيين من مختلف أنحاء العالم، ويُغلق باب التقديم لـ«سوق المشاريع» -للمشاريع قيد التطوير أو الإنتاج- في 20 يونيو، فيما تنتهي مهلة التقديم لـ«عروض الأفلام قيد الإنجاز» في 29 يوليو.
ويُعد البرنامجان منصتين رئيستين لدعم الجيل القادم من المواهب السينمائية من السعودية، والعالم العربي، وأفريقيا، وآسيا، وتسعيان إلى تعزيز فرص الإنتاج المشترك والتوزيع الدولي، وتمكين صنّاع الأفلام من استعراض أعمالهم أمام مجموعة من المتخصصين في صناعة السينما العالمية.
ويستقبل «سوق المشاريع» هذا العام 12 مشروعاً روائياً أو تحريكياً أو وثائقياً في مرحلة التطوير أو الإنتاج، على أن تكون من إخراج صنّاع أفلام ينتمون إلى إحدى الدول العربية، أو الأفريقية، أو الآسيوية، أو من أصول عربية.
وسيحظى كل مشروع يتم اختياره بدعم استشاري من خبراء صناعة السينما لتقديم تجربة مصمّمة خصيصاً لتناسب حاجات المشروع، إضافة إلى فرصة المشاركة في جلسات عرض المشاريع، والاجتماعات الفردية مع شركاء محتملين من موزعين ومبرمجين ومؤسسات تمويل.
كما سيتلقى «عروض الأفلام قيد الإنجاز» 8 أفلام طويلة في مرحلة ما بعد الإنتاج، ضمن عروض مغلقة مخصصة للمهنيين فقط.
وسيتلقى كل فريق من المخرج والمنتج جلسات توجيه فنية مع خبراء في المونتاج لتحسين النسخة المعروضة، إلى جانب فرص اللقاء مع موزعين ومنصات تمويل ومبرمجي مهرجانات.
وتهدف هذه التجربة إلى تمكين المشاريع من إتمام مراحل ما بعد الإنتاج والوصول إلى الجمهور عبر قنوات دولية فاعلة.
وتُعد هذه المسابقة فرصة ذهبية لصناع الأفلام من السعودية والعالم العربي وأفريقيا وآسيا، لتتيح لهم فرصة الحصول على دعم لتطوير مشاريعهم السينمائية، وربطهم بشركات الإنتاج الكُبرى.
The Red Sea Market has announced the opening of applications for the "Project Market" and "Works-in-Progress Screenings," as part of the fifth edition of the Red Sea International Film Festival, scheduled to take place in "Al-Balad," the historical district of Jeddah, from December 4 to 13.
The Red Sea Market will be held from December 6 to 10, attracting a group of filmmakers, investors, and professionals from around the world. The application deadline for the "Project Market" - for projects in development or production - is June 20, while the deadline for "Works-in-Progress Screenings" ends on July 29.
Both programs serve as key platforms to support the next generation of cinematic talent from Saudi Arabia, the Arab world, Africa, and Asia, aiming to enhance opportunities for co-production and international distribution, and enabling filmmakers to showcase their work to a group of specialists in the global film industry.
This year, the "Project Market" will host 12 feature, animated, or documentary projects in the development or production stage, directed by filmmakers from one of the Arab, African, or Asian countries, or of Arab descent.
Each selected project will receive advisory support from film industry experts to provide a tailored experience that meets the project's needs, in addition to the opportunity to participate in project pitch sessions and individual meetings with potential partners, including distributors, programmers, and funding institutions.
The "Works-in-Progress Screenings" will feature 8 feature films in the post-production stage, within closed screenings dedicated exclusively to professionals.
Each team of director and producer will receive technical mentoring sessions with editing experts to improve the presented version, along with opportunities to meet with distributors, funding platforms, and festival programmers.
This experience aims to empower projects to complete their post-production stages and reach audiences through effective international channels.
This competition represents a golden opportunity for filmmakers from Saudi Arabia, the Arab world, Africa, and Asia, providing them with the chance to receive support for developing their cinematic projects and connecting them with major production companies.
