شكا عدد من المواطنين والمستثمرين في الطائف، من تزامن تنفيذ مشروع تابع لشركة المياه مع ذروة الموسم السياحي والإجازة الصيفية، مؤكدين أن أعمال الحفريات تسببت في إرباك الحركة المرورية، وأثرت على وصول الزوار إلى المحلات والأنشطة التجارية والسكنية، ما تسبب في خسائر مالية لعدد من المستثمرين.
وتشهد الطائف خلال الفترة الحالية إقبالاً سياحياً كبيراً، إذ تجاوزت نسب إشغال المواقع الريفية والسياحية 90%، وهو ما جعل المستثمرين يعوّلون على الموسم الصيفي لتحقيق عوائدهم السنوية.
وقال زابن ميشع الروقي: إن الحفريات التي بدأت قبل أيام بمحاذاة مدخل المحافظة بعد «كوبري الدهاس» أغلقت بعض المداخل، ما زاد من معاناة الأهالي والزوار في التنقل، خصوصاً مع كثافة الحركة خلال موسم الصيف.
وأوضح سلطان علي العتيبي، أن المشروع أدى إلى تراجع الإقبال على المحلات التجارية بسبب غياب المداخل المباشرة، فيما طالب نايف الروقي، بجدولة أعمال الحفريات خارج موسم الإجازات لتجنب الازدحام وتأثيرها على الحركة التجارية والسياحية.
وأشار عبدالله عتيق العضياني إلى أن نشاطه التجاري تكبد خسائر، فيما أكد محمد العتيبي، أن أعمال الحفريات مع بداية الموسم الصيفي انعكس سلباً على الحركة التشغيلية للمحافظة، وطالب مواطنون بتنفيذ مثل هذه المشاريع في أوقات لا تتزامن مع مواسم الذروة السياحية، حفاظاً على انسيابية الحركة ودعماً للأنشطة الاقتصادية.
خطط معتمدة وزمنية
من جهتها، أوضحت شركة المياه الوطنية لـ«عكاظ»، أنها تحرص على الأخذ بملاحظات العملاء وتحسين مستوى خدماتها، مبينة أن المشروع يأتي ضمن خططها لرفع التغطية بالخدمات المائية وتعزيز العمليات التشغيلية في محافظة الطائف، وسيسهم بعد اكتماله في دعم محطات التعبئة بمراكز شمال الطائف وأحياء العرفاء، مؤكدة أن التنفيذ يتم وفق خطة زمنية معتمدة وبعد استكمال جميع التصاريح والإجراءات النظامية.
A number of citizens and investors in Taif have complained about the timing of a project being implemented by the water company coinciding with the peak of the tourist season and the summer vacation. They confirmed that the excavation work has caused traffic disruptions and affected visitors' access to shops and commercial and residential activities, resulting in financial losses for several investors.
Currently, Taif is experiencing a significant influx of tourists, with occupancy rates for rural and tourist sites exceeding 90%, which has led investors to rely on the summer season to achieve their annual returns.
Zaben Mish'a Al-Ruqai stated that the excavations that began a few days ago near the entrance of the governorate after the "Dahis Bridge" have closed some entrances, increasing the difficulties faced by residents and visitors in mobility, especially with the heavy traffic during the summer season.
Sultan Ali Al-Otaibi explained that the project has led to a decline in customer traffic to commercial shops due to the lack of direct entrances, while Nayef Al-Ruqai called for scheduling excavation work outside the vacation season to avoid congestion and its impact on commercial and tourist movement.
Abdullah Ateeq Al-Odayani pointed out that his business has incurred losses, while Mohammed Al-Otaibi confirmed that the excavation work at the beginning of the summer season has negatively affected the operational movement of the governorate. Citizens have called for such projects to be implemented at times that do not coincide with peak tourist seasons, to maintain traffic flow and support economic activities.
Approved and Timed Plans
For its part, the National Water Company clarified to "Okaz" that it is keen on taking customer feedback and improving the level of its services, indicating that the project is part of its plans to enhance water service coverage and strengthen operational processes in the Taif governorate. Once completed, it will contribute to supporting filling stations in northern Taif and the Al-Urfah neighborhoods, confirming that the implementation is being carried out according to an approved timeline and after completing all necessary permits and regulatory procedures.
