Improving the image of the Kingdom is not a luxury or a side issue; it is a duty for each one of us, shared by everyone—individuals and institutions.
The Saudi society today faces the fiercest media attacks, not only from abroad but sometimes from within through some media celebrities who have chosen to present a feeble image of themselves, which reflects negatively on the image of their homeland. This has led observers to mistakenly believe that these individuals are the most distinguished in society and its elite!
Unfortunately, this epidemic has spread through the veins of new media, and these individuals, either out of ignorance or intent, promote fabricated stories about gifts and cars, or present content that contradicts public taste, at a time when the Kingdom needs to be showcased in its true light: the land of the Two Holy Mosques, the Qibla of Muslims, and a society of values and renaissance.
What is concerning is that these transgressions are expanding more and more day by day without any deterrent, while the audience watches in astonishment and disbelief.
The truth that everyone knows is that these celebrities did not appear suddenly; they found financial and moral support from entities and individuals, allowing them to dominate the scene as if they were the elite product of Saudi society, while in reality, they are a superficial image that does not represent its knowledge, culture, or creativity.
From here, the responsibility is shared; every follow, like, or support contributes to amplifying these models at the expense of others, and we cannot demand a reform of the mental image as long as we are providing it with oxygen from within.
Therefore, the need for practical solutions has become urgent, starting with activating specialized media oversight that monitors offensive content and issues immediate penalties against those who violate values or manipulate the name of the Kingdom, along with enacting clear penal regulations that include fines and bans from media appearances upon repeated violations.
Moreover, regulating financial and advertising support is a fundamental pillar of the equation; it is unreasonable for some companies and businessmen to lavish funding on these models while true creatives face isolation. I am certain that directing support to its rightful recipients among competent and creative youth will make the land and its farthest reaches speak of Saudi Arabia, and when the opportunity is given to the distinguished to lead the scene, the equation will turn upside down, and the envious will be angered when they see the true image of the Kingdom in its most splendid form.
Here, the role of society in conscious selection also emerges, as there must be national indicators that document the commitment of influencers to values and public taste, with those who adhere being awarded an official medal that enhances their presence, while offenders are barred from advertising and collaboration opportunities.
The solution is not just in prohibition, but also in creating an alternative by supporting national platforms and youth initiatives capable of providing refined content that competes with those superficial models and highlights the true face of Saudi Arabia. The audience remains an essential partner in this battle, as they create fame through their interactions.
They must realize that every like, share, or view is an implicit vote on who represents us, and from here comes the explicit call: block the "fools" and leave them in the confines of their homes to vent, for Saudi society does not have time to waste on empty skulls that have brought us discordant voices, and we are the ones paying the price for that.
Maintaining the mental image of the Kingdom starts at home, reflects in public behavior, and is preserved through systems and laws.
If society collaborates with regulatory authorities, directs support towards true creatives, and allows them space, only then will we maintain the bright image of the Kingdom as it is... a homeland of dignity, a refuge of values, and the land of prophets and messages.
