A friend of mine (who has free time) invited me one day with no (urgent) reason for a light outing - as she put it - saying: "Come on, let's change the atmosphere and go for a drive for a bit." And as you know, the word (ندور) for us doesn’t just mean (to search), but it has several other uses beyond looking for something.
(ندور) in the car means (to cruise around), to take a stroll, (to wander) the streets back and forth, and to reminisce about memories, and sometimes we get lost; because Google Maps has lost its mind and is still stuck with the people of Jeddah in Sudan.
My friend arrived, and I left the house while I was (looking for) my sunglasses as usual, and after I (searched and searched), I finally found them among my things. I got into the car and told her: today you will drive the trip, and I will enjoy my coffee. She replied: don’t worry, we will (drive around) a bit on the corniche and then (look for) a restaurant to have dinner in.
So I said to her: I swear you are (driving around) either for traffic or a headache.
The important thing is; we both (searched) for a topic to chat about, and my friend started talking about our memories, our travels, our nights out, and our visits, and we continued the conversation until we found ourselves (driving around) looking for a gas station.
After an hour of driving around, we found a station, but when we arrived, we found no one there, and we (looked for) any attendant and found a sign that said "Closed for prayer," knowing that there was about a quarter of an hour left until the call to prayer.
But anyway, we waited like everyone else until the attendant arrived, and we filled the car (full) so we could continue our (driving around) and our spirits would lift.
Tell me; who among us does not seek happiness? We search for it and (drive around) as if it were lost in our childhood days. We always look and (search) for peace of mind amidst the hustle and bustle of chores, worries, responsibilities, and obligations. Sometimes we (search) for the keys to our hearts, and sometimes we (search) for our minds after a futile discussion with some people, and sometimes we (search) for words when speech is scarce. We look and (search) for people who understand us and resemble us, and sometimes we (search) for ourselves in the first place.
And now, honestly, after all that has been said, I am (searching) for an idea to write you an article (so you won’t have to search) for any other article afterward. Consider it a legitimate narcissism and bear with me as I bear with you always, for I am (searching) for words and ideas in my head like clothes spinning in a (washing machine), and just as some excel at "dodging" with skill, I (search) for vocabulary that is untouched by the "censor's scissors," and I (search) for a golden idea that makes the reader stop and say: "This line speaks about me."
And until a convenient time; you (search) for what can be gained from this article, as for myself, I am tired of "going in circles," and now I no longer (search) except for my bed while I hum:
(Where are you, oh path to the pillow).
