Since the outbreak of the October 7, 2023 war, and up until this writing, the Israeli killing machine continues to daily bombard the homes of the defenseless Palestinian people in Gaza, killing dozens of them, most of whom are women and children. These days mark nearly 600 days of war, during which Israel has killed more than 53,000 Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, and there seem to be no signs of the war stopping on the horizon. On the contrary, every day Israeli leaders renew their promise that they will continue their war without pause, and there are no indications of any truce in sight.
When the war broke out, Israel announced that it would track down and kill Hamas leaders. Despite the deaths of many leaders such as Yahya Sinwar, Mohammed Sinwar, and Ismail Haniyeh, in addition to the deaths of many Hezbollah leaders in Lebanon, one would expect signs of a truce and a halt to the massacres committed by this rogue state against the residents of the Gaza Strip. However, the opposite is true; Israel deliberately pursues a policy of starving and besieging the Palestinian people in response to the residents of the Gaza Strip's rejection of forced displacement.
Recently, Israeli leaders have come up with a policy that seems to be an attempt to force the residents of Gaza to leave their homes. The Israeli government announced its conditions for allowing humanitarian aid into the Strip, which includes food and medicine, stipulating that the distribution centers for this aid be located within specific areas of the Strip, depriving other areas of it. They hope this will lead to a population migration to the aid areas, which means emptying large areas of the Strip of their inhabitants.
This Israeli barbarism has begun to create a state of concern among some major countries, including the United States (Israel's strong ally). The United States also has its allies and does not want to lose them. Recently, President Trump dealt two slaps to Israel; the first was halting its operations against the Houthis in exchange for the Houthis stopping their attacks on Western ships, which means that the United States will not be a direct partner in its war against the Houthis. The second slap was Trump's disregard for visiting Israel during his trip to the region, a visit that previous American presidents have been keen to make.
What Israel wants from this war goes far beyond just getting rid of Hamas; Israel aims to empty the Gaza Strip and the West Bank of their populations and displace them abroad to settle in other countries. The Palestinian people are clearly aware of this goal, and in light of the rejection cries from the Palestinian people against the idea of displacement, Israel, in turn, directs its ammunition not to kill Hamas leaders as it claims, but to kill innocent civilians.
Netanyahu is the most warlike of all Israeli government heads against the Palestinian people. Since he first took office in 1996, it has been clear to the whole world that he is the most extreme leader in dealing with the Palestinian issue. He now even wants to eliminate the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank by demolishing homes, destroying roads, and unleashing settlers to terrorize the Palestinian residents of the West Bank and even arm them to complete the displacement plan.
Every day, the Israeli government announces new conditions to end the war, then maneuvers to sabotage the implementation of these plans. In my personal opinion, even if all the prisoners return to Israel, it will not stop its continuation of the war in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, because its displacement plan is the foundation of its war against the Palestinian people. It is also clear that global calls to condemn Israel do not resonate among the members of this extremist government, as the ongoing killing machine aims for far more than just retrieving Israelis.
Israel has crossed all red lines in its war in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, in addition to its fierce war against Syria and Lebanon, to the extent that Western relief organizations have been subjected to Israeli attacks that killed many relief agency employees, as if Israel raises the banner of "No to aiding the Palestinian people." Amid all this, the international community seems powerless to deter Israel and stop the killing machine that claims dozens, if not hundreds, of innocent lives daily. The extremist government in Israel does not hide its crimes; on the contrary, it wants images and scenes of these crimes to reach the Palestinian people to remind them that there is no place for them in their land, and it is also a message to the international community that its plans will not stop until the Palestinians are displaced.
