قضت محكمة جنايات الهرم بمحافظة الجيزة، اليوم الخميس، ببراءة الممثل المصري هيثم محمد، من تهمة حيازة الهيروين، في قضية أثارت جدلاً واسعاً منذ القبض عليه في ديسمبر 2024.
وتعود تفاصيل القضية إلى مداهمة أمنية نفذتها مباحث قسمي الطالبية والعمرانية في الجيزة، استهدفت شقة سكنية بحي الطالبية، حيث وردت معلومات تفيد باستخدامها لتخزين مواد مخدرة، ووفقاً للتحقيقات، تم ضبط الممثل داخل الشقة مع كمية من مادة الهيروين، مما أدى إلى توجيه تهمة حيازة المخدرات إليه.
وخلال جلسات المحاكمة، دافع هيثم محمد عن نفسه بحجة أن المواد المضبوطة لا تخصه، وأن وجوده في الشقة كان صدفة، وقد استندت هيئة المحكمة في حكم البراءة إلى عدم كفاية الأدلة المقدمة من النيابة العامة، إضافة إلى وجود شبهات حول إجراءات الضبط والتفتيش.
هذه ليست المرة الأولى التي يواجه فيها هيثم محمد اتهامات مرتبطة بالمخدرات، ففي عام 2015، ألقي القبض عليه في مدينة بدر بالقاهرة أثناء تواجده داخل سيارة برفقة شخصان آخران، حيث تم ضبطهم متلبسين بتعاطي الهيروين.
وقد أصدرت محكمة جنح القاهرة الجديدة حينها قراراً بإخلاء سبيله بكفالة مالية قدرها 5000 جنيه مصري، وهذه الحوادث المتكررة ألقت بظلال من الشك على مسيرة الممثل، الذي اشتهر بأدوار ثانوية في عدد من المسلسلات والأفلام المصرية.
وتعد قضايا المخدرات من التحديات الأمنية، حيث تشير تقارير رسمية إلى أن السلطات صادرت أكثر من 250 طناً من المواد المخدرة خلال عام 2024، في إطار حملات مكثفة لمكافحة الاتجار وتعاطي المخدرات، وتُعتبر منطقة الهرم، وبالأخص حي الطالبية، من المناطق التي تشهد نشاطاً ملحوظاً في قضايا المخدرات، نظراً للكثافة السكانية العالية وتعدد الأحياء الشعبية.
من الناحية القانونية، تفرض المادة 33 من قانون العقوبات المصري عقوبات صارمة على حيازة المخدرات بقصد التعاطي أو الاتجار، تصل إلى السجن المشدد لمدة 7 سنوات، مع غرامات مالية كبيرة.
The Heliopolis Criminal Court in Giza Governorate ruled today, Thursday, in favor of the Egyptian actor Haitham Mohamed, acquitting him of the charge of heroin possession in a case that has sparked widespread controversy since his arrest in December 2024.
The details of the case date back to a security raid carried out by the investigations of the Talbiya and Omrania police departments in Giza, targeting an apartment in the Talbiya neighborhood, where information indicated it was being used to store narcotic substances. According to the investigations, the actor was found inside the apartment with a quantity of heroin, leading to the charge of drug possession against him.
During the trial sessions, Haitham Mohamed defended himself by claiming that the seized substances did not belong to him and that his presence in the apartment was coincidental. The court based its acquittal on the insufficiency of the evidence presented by the public prosecution, in addition to doubts surrounding the procedures of the seizure and search.
This is not the first time Haitham Mohamed has faced drug-related charges. In 2015, he was arrested in Badr City, Cairo, while inside a car with two other individuals, where they were caught in the act of using heroin.
At that time, the New Cairo Misdemeanor Court issued a decision to release him on bail of 5,000 Egyptian pounds. These recurring incidents have cast shadows of doubt over the actor's career, who is known for his supporting roles in several Egyptian series and films.
Drug-related cases are considered a significant security challenge, as official reports indicate that authorities seized more than 250 tons of narcotic substances during 2024, as part of intensive campaigns to combat drug trafficking and use. The Heliopolis area, particularly the Talbiya neighborhood, is known for its noticeable activity in drug cases, due to the high population density and the presence of numerous popular neighborhoods.
Legally, Article 33 of the Egyptian Penal Code imposes strict penalties for drug possession for the purpose of use or trafficking, which can reach up to 7 years of hard labor in prison, along with substantial financial fines.
