تحولت أجواء الاحتفال بعيد الهالوين في أحد أحياء مدينة دالاس الأمريكية إلى مشهد من الفوضى والذعر، بعدما شهدت المنطقة 3 حوادث إطلاق نار منفصلة خلال عطلة نهاية الأسبوع، أسفرت عن مقتل 4 أشخاص وإصابة 15 آخرين، وسط تحقيقات لتحديد ما إذا كانت الوقائع مرتبطة ببعضها.
وقالت شرطة دالاس، في بيان صدر الأحد، إن حوادث إطلاق النار وقعت في حي ديب إيلوم بولاية تكساس، فيما لا تزال دوافعها غير معروفة.
من جانبه، أكد قائد شرطة دالاس، دانيال كومو، أن المحققين يعملون على كشف ملابسات الحوادث وتحديد طبيعة العلاقة المحتملة بينها، مشيرا إلى توقيف عدد من الأشخاص على خلفية التحقيقات، دون الكشف عن أعدادهم أو التهم التي قد توجه إليهم.
وأوضح كومو أن الحوادث وقعت في مواقع متفرقة داخل منطقة واسعة، لافتا إلى أن الشرطة تستجوب بعض الموقوفين، بالتزامن مع مواصلة التحقيقات لتحديد مدى ارتباطهم بوقائع إطلاق النار.
The Halloween celebration atmosphere in a neighborhood of Dallas, Texas, turned into a scene of chaos and panic after the area witnessed three separate shooting incidents over the weekend, resulting in the deaths of four people and injuries to 15 others, amid investigations to determine whether the incidents are connected.
Dallas police stated in a statement released on Sunday that the shootings occurred in the Deep Ellum neighborhood of Texas, while the motives remain unknown.
For his part, Dallas Police Chief Daniel Como confirmed that investigators are working to uncover the circumstances of the incidents and determine the nature of any potential connections between them, noting that several individuals have been detained in connection with the investigations, without disclosing their numbers or the charges that may be brought against them.
Como explained that the incidents occurred in various locations within a wide area, pointing out that the police are questioning some of the detainees, while continuing investigations to determine their connection to the shootings.
