A light aircraft pilot flying a Cessna R182 Sky Lane transformed the American sky into a stunning art space, using his flight path to accurately draw the famous painting (Mona Lisa) above the border between Oklahoma and Arkansas, near the city of Tahlequah.
The plane took off from Bentonville Municipal Airport on Friday morning, before the pilot spent hours executing the flight lines that formed the features of one of the most famous faces in art history, amidst widespread following from aviation enthusiasts tracking flight paths.
By 11:30 AM, the aerial route was completed, forming the outer lines of the (Mona Lisa); according to data from the local News 9 channel, in a scene described by followers as one of the most creative flight paths in private aviation history.
The AirNav Radar platform published a visual clip of the flight path of the aircraft registered as (N1810R), where it appeared that the initial lines gradually transformed into a clear image, with the addition of fine details including the arms and the basic features of the face.
Thanks to the 3D map feature, this artwork could be tracked moment by moment as the painting took shape in the sky, in an unusual experience that combines aviation and art in an exceptional scene.
