في لحظة خاطفة لا تحكمها سوى غريزة الوفاء، تحول بيت ريفي مصري بسيط بقرية «سلوا بحري» في أسوان إلى مسرح لمأساة إنسانية هزت المشاعر، في يوم انتهى بفاجعة لم تتوقعها أسرة بأكملها.
بدأ كل شيء اليوم (الجمعة) بفرقعة مدوية إثر انفجار أسطوانة الغاز داخل المنزل القريب من شريط السكة الحديد. في تلك الثواني الفاصلة، كانت ألسنة اللهب تلتهم الأثاث بسرعة مرعبة، أثناء تواجد الأب خارج المنزل. وفي الداخل، كانت الأم المشلولة «فاطمة» (45 عاماً) محاصرة تماماً، لا تملك القدرة على الحركة أو الهرب بسبب إعاقتها التي جعلتها قعيدة الجسد أمام خطر داهم.
لم تتردد الابنة «شروق» ذات الـ23 عاماً لثانية واحدة. وألقت بنفسها وسط النيران والدخان المتصاعد، مضحية بكل شيء في سبيل الوصول إلى والدتها وسحبها بعيداً عن مركز الاشتعال. وبينما كانت الشابة تصارع الوقت وتقتلع جسد أمها من قلب الخطر، حدث السيناريو الأسوأ.
الحرارة المرتفعة كانت كافية لتصهر هيكل السقف البدائي المصنوع من الجريد وسعف النخل، وحينها انهار بالكامل فوق الجسدين المنهكين، لكن بعد أن نجحت الابنة في سحب والدتها وإبعادها عن الخطر.
هرع أهالي القرية بعد أصوات الانفجار والاستغاثة، واستطاعوا وسط الركام المشتعل أن يستخرجوا الأم المصابة بحروق بالغة من الدرجة الثالثة وجرى نقلها على الفور إلى المستشفى لتلقي العلاج العاجل، غير أن شروق كانت قد لفظت أنفاسها الأخيرة أسفل الأنقاض التي انهمرت على جسدها الوفي، تاركة خلفها قصة بطولة نادرة ودّعت فيها الحياة كي تحيا أمها.

Everything began today (Friday) with a loud bang following the explosion of a gas cylinder inside the house near the railway tracks. In those critical seconds, flames devoured the furniture at a terrifying speed, while the father was outside the house. Inside, the paralyzed mother "Fatima" (45 years old) was completely trapped, unable to move or escape due to her disability that rendered her physically helpless in the face of imminent danger.
The 23-year-old daughter "Shorouk" did not hesitate for a second. She threw herself into the flames and rising smoke, sacrificing everything to reach her mother and pull her away from the center of the fire. As the young woman battled against time to extract her mother from the heart of danger, the worst scenario unfolded.
The intense heat was enough to melt the primitive roof structure made of palm fronds and reeds, and at that moment, it collapsed entirely onto the two exhausted bodies, but only after the daughter had succeeded in pulling her mother away from danger.
The villagers rushed in after the sounds of the explosion and the cries for help, and they managed to extract the mother, who suffered severe third-degree burns, from the blazing rubble and immediately transported her to the hospital for urgent treatment. However, Shorouk had already breathed her last beneath the debris that had fallen upon her loyal body, leaving behind a rare tale of heroism in which she bid farewell to life so that her mother could live.
