إنجاز قياسي جديد سجّله موظفو شركة «كوناغرا براندز» الأمريكية في مدينة أوماها بولاية نبراسكا، بعد نجاحهم في تحطيم الرقم العالمي المسجل بموسوعة «غينيس» وصناعة أطول قطعة وجبات خفيفة من اللحوم على الإطلاق.
بلغت القطعة العملاقة متراً و130.8 سنتيمتراً، لتسحق الرقم القياسي السابق المسجل باسم «مزرعة وينزل» منذ أغسطس 2023 بفارق شاسع وصل إلى 35 متراً.
لم يكن خوض هذه التجربة مجرد استعراض للأرقام بالنسبة لفريق العمل الذي أطلق على نفسه اسم «بليز كرو»، بل تمثل التحدي الأكبر في الحفاظ على النكهة الأصلية والوصفة المعتمدة للمنتج الشهير «سليم جيم» دون إحداث أي تغيير في الجودة، إضافة إلى ضمان عدم تفكك القطعة أو انكسارها أثناء عمليات المعالجة والنقل.
وشهدت كواليس التصنيع خطوات دقيقة داخل المنشأة، حيث جرى إعداد خلطة اللحم المعتادة ولفها بعناية فائقة حول حامل أسطواني متحرك لإبقاء المزيج جافاً ومتماسكاً طوال مرحلة التشكيل.
وفي المشهد الأخير، نُقل الإنجاز إلى موقف السيارات الخاص بالشركة، لتتم الاستعانة بعشرات الطاولات المتراصة لتشكيل منصة امتداد طولي استعرضت القطعة أمام مئات الموظفين المحتشدين.
وبحضور محكم موسوعة «غينيس» المعتمد مايكل إمبريك، جرت عمليات القياس والتحقق الميداني وفق الشروط المعيارية، قبل أن يعلن رسمياً توثيق الرقم القياسي الجديد ودخول المحاولة تاريخ موسوعة الأرقام القياسية.
A new record achievement was made by the employees of the American company "ConAgra Brands" in Omaha, Nebraska, after successfully breaking the world record listed in the "Guinness" book and creating the longest piece of meat snack ever.
The giant piece measured 1 meter and 130.8 centimeters, crushing the previous record held by "Winzel Farm" since August 2023 by a vast margin of 35 meters.
For the team, who called themselves "Blaze Crew," this experience was not just a numbers game; the biggest challenge was to maintain the original flavor and the approved recipe of the famous "Slim Jim" product without compromising on quality, in addition to ensuring that the piece did not break apart or shatter during processing and transportation.
The manufacturing process involved precise steps within the facility, where the usual meat mixture was prepared and carefully wrapped around a moving cylindrical holder to keep the mixture dry and intact throughout the shaping stage.
In the final scene, the achievement was moved to the company's parking lot, where dozens of lined-up tables were used to create a long platform showcasing the piece in front of hundreds of gathered employees.
With the presence of the official Guinness World Records adjudicator Michael Emprick, the measurement and field verification processes were conducted according to standard conditions, before he officially announced the documentation of the new record and the entry of the attempt into the history of the record books.
