Rapid health details revealed by Egyptian artist Mustafa Khatir regarding his current health condition, following a sudden crisis that struck him during an award ceremony at a film festival, which led to his early withdrawal and urgent return to Cairo.
Mustafa Khatir clarified that he is currently at his home in the Egyptian capital to continue the treatment protocol he is undergoing, noting that he has undergone a series of advanced medical tests and scans in the past few days to ascertain the nature of the ailment that befell him.
Regarding the behind-the-scenes moments of the initial crisis, Mustafa Khatir revealed that he was not experiencing any prior symptoms; however, he was surprised by a severe pain in his waist while on stage receiving his award at the opening ceremony of the Hurghada Youth Cinema Festival.
The rapid escalation of pain led to his immediate transfer to one of the Hurghada hospitals for first aid, before he decided to leave the events and return to Cairo to follow up with his treating physician.
The Egyptian artist indicated that the tests revealed the presence of small kidney stones that had moved from their original location due to the treatment and settled in the ureter, which changed the treatment plan. His doctor explained that breaking them up within the kidney was easy, but their current position may necessitate a minor surgical intervention if they do not respond to the medication he is currently on.
This health issue comes after a remarkable Ramadan success that Mustafa Khatir achieved through his participation in the lead role of the series "The King," alongside Mohamed Imam, Mirna Jamil, Amr Abdel Gelil, and Hanan Motawaa, with the work being written by Mohamed Salah Al-Azab and directed by Sherine Adel.
