انتهت محاولة شاب للوساطة بين والديه في محافظة سوهاج بنهاية مأساوية، بعدما انقلب الشجار الأسري إلى جريمة أسفرت عن نقل الابن إلى المستشفى وهو يعاني من حروق بالغة في مختلف أنحاء جسده.
تعود تفاصيل الواقعة إلى ملاسنات حادة بين الأب وزوجته داخل المنزل، ليقرر الابن التدخل لحماية أمه وتلطيف الأجواء بينهما، غير أن الأب باغت نجله بسكب مادة «البنزين» على جسده، قبل أن يشعل فيه النار.
وجرى نقل الشاب، وهو في العقد الثاني من عمره، على وجه السرعة إلى مستشفى سوهاج العام، حيث أُدخل فوراً قسم الجراحة لتلقي الرعاية الطبية اللازمة، بالتوازي مع إخطار الأجهزة الأمنية بالواقعة.
وعلى الفور، تحركت القوات الأمنية وألقت القبض على الأب المتهم، والذي أقر خلال التحقيقات بارتكاب الجريمة إثر الخلافات الأسرية، لتقرر النيابة العامة اتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية واستكمال التحقيقات بحقه.

The details of the incident date back to a heated argument between the father and his wife inside the house, prompting the son to intervene to protect his mother and ease the tension between them. However, the father surprised his son by pouring a substance of "gasoline" on his body before setting him on fire.
The young man, who is in his twenties, was rushed to Sohag General Hospital, where he was immediately admitted to the surgery department to receive the necessary medical care, while the security authorities were notified of the incident.
Immediately, the security forces moved in and arrested the accused father, who admitted during the investigations to committing the crime due to family disputes, prompting the public prosecution to take legal action and continue the investigations against him.
