A residential house in the Tunisian city of Nabeul was transformed into a management center for a drug trafficking network, before a security raid ended its suspicious activities and revealed an unexpected presence of one of the parties involved: a famous lawyer.
The beginning of the downfall came after precise intelligence investigations received by the Tunisian security units, which confirmed that a dangerous dealer was exploiting a residential location for the preparation, storage, and cutting of narcotic substances, using the residential neighborhood as a cover to distribute his poisons.
As soon as the judicial coordination procedures were completed, the forces stormed the site, leading to the arrest of the main dealer along with three suspects caught in the act, including the lawyer, in addition to the seizure of quantities of narcotic pills and cannabis (hashish), as well as weighing tools and equipment for sale.
Following the referral, the investigating judge at the Nabeul Court of First Instance decided to issue detention orders for all members of the network, and referred the case to the Central Anti-Drug Unit in Ben Arous to expand the investigations and reach all extensions of the criminal activity.
