على مدار عام كامل، ظلت إحدى أكثر الجرائم العائلية قسوة وغموضاً مكتومة الأنفاس في طهران، حين اختفت أم وأربعة من أبنائها وبناتها دفعة واحدة دون أن يتركوا خلفهم أي أثر. وعلى الرغم من توجه الشقيقين المتبقيين على قيد الحياة إلى الشرطة للإبلاغ عن سرقة مجوهرات عائلية بمليارات التومان واختفاء أسرتهم، إلا أن الشكوك بدأت تحوم حولهما سريعاً.
التناقضات الصارخة في أقوال الشقيقين حوّلتهما من مُبلِّغين عن جريمة إلى متهمين رئيسيين، وتحت وطأة التحقيق المكثف، انهار المتهمان واعترفا بتصفية الأم وشقيقين وشقيقتين بدافع «الطمع في الإرث» والاستحواذ على الثروة كاملاً.. ليقف المحققون أمام اللغز الأكبر: أين اختفت الجثامين الخمسة؟
لكن الإجابة جاءت في اعتراف صادم، حيث قام المتهمان بلف الجثث داخل أكياس «خيش»، وإسقاطها في بئر سري بعمق 20 متراً حُفر تحت الأرض داخل منزلهم في حي «سيمون بوليفار»، ظناً منهما أن ظلام الأعماق كفيل بدفن المجزرة للأبد.
وعلى الفور، تحركت فرق الطب الشرعي والإنقاذ لتستخرج الجثامين الخمسة من قاع البئر وسط ذهول الشارع الإيراني، فيما أصدر رئيس محكمة طهران العليا توجيهات قضائية عاجلة لإحالة الشقيقين للمحاكمة بتهمة القتل العمد مع سبق الإصرار.
For an entire year, one of the most brutal and mysterious family crimes remained breathless in Tehran, when a mother and her four children disappeared all at once without leaving any trace behind. Despite the remaining two siblings going to the police to report the theft of family jewelry worth billions of tomans and the disappearance of their family, suspicions quickly began to swirl around them.
The glaring contradictions in the siblings' statements transformed them from crime reporters to prime suspects, and under the pressure of intense investigation, the accused broke down and confessed to the murder of their mother and two brothers and two sisters out of "greed for inheritance" and the desire to seize the entire wealth... leaving the investigators facing the bigger mystery: Where did the five bodies disappear?
But the answer came in a shocking confession, as the accused wrapped the bodies in "burlap" bags and dropped them into a secret well 20 meters deep that was dug underground inside their home in the "Simón Bolívar" neighborhood, believing that the darkness of the depths would be enough to bury the massacre forever.
Immediately, forensic and rescue teams moved to extract the five bodies from the bottom of the well amidst the astonishment of the Iranian street, while the head of the Tehran High Court issued urgent judicial directives to refer the siblings for trial on charges of premeditated murder.
