In a security move that shook the circles of drug dealers, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior announced the dismantling of 10 separate criminal networks and the arrest of 13 individuals involved in promotion activities, including a woman, in one of the most severe preemptive strikes aimed at drying up the routes of narcotic substances and psychoactive substances within the country.
The simultaneous raids carried out by the drug enforcement sectors (between local and international enforcement departments and the operations section) not only revealed the threads of the criminal formations but also uncovered methods of concealment and promotion, as well as types of extremely malicious and dangerous drugs. The arrested individuals were found in possession of shipments of "booby-trapped candy" stuffed with hashish, in addition to 99 sheets of A4 paper fully saturated with the chemical drug.
The dramatic fallout did not stop there, as security teams seized more than 4.8 kilograms of hashish, 4.4 kilograms of methamphetamine, hash oil, cocaine, and over 15,000 capsules and pills of various drugs, including Lyrica and Captagon. Inspections also revealed the armed aspect of these networks after seizing 3 shotguns and large live ammunition, along with sensitive scales and cash exceeding 12,000 dinars from the proceeds of promotion.
With all suspects and seized items referred to the Public Prosecution for legal action, this decisive security strike sends a clear message that the Kuwaiti street is a red line, and that security vigilance will not allow Kuwait to be a safe haven for drug dealers.
