This was not an ordinary plan for quick money; it was a professional fraud operation that flooded the Tunisian markets with counterfeit banknotes, led by a network whose mastermind turned out to be stranger than anyone could expect: a mother and her daughter!
In details that shocked the Tunisian public, the elements of the "Criminal Cases Management in El-Karjani" successfully dismantled one of the most dangerous gangs specialized in counterfeiting Tunisian currency and circulating it in the market at low prices, after a journey of tracking and precise research that began with a small suspicion in the "Mohammedia" area on the outskirts of the capital.
The first thread of the story emerged when security agencies detected the circulation of suspicious banknotes for quick trading among Tunisian citizens. However, secret movements and careful surveillance led the security forces to crack the code: two individuals belonging to an organized network consisting of eight members, entirely managed behind the scenes by a woman and her daughter, with the participation of a printing house owner who had turned his equipment into a "factory" for printing counterfeit money.
After coordination with the public prosecutor at the primary court in Tunis, security teams raided the criminal hideout, apprehending all members of the network at once and seizing the counterfeiting tools.
The public prosecutor immediately ordered the detention of all the accused for investigation in preparation for their trial, while a state of astonishment prevailed regarding how the mother and daughter managed this criminal cell that nearly undermined the financial stability of the region.
