ظنّ أن سنوات اللجوء الهادئ في أوروبا ستغسل الدماء عن يديه، وأن فراره إلى ألمانيا سينسيه صرخات مئات الجنود والطلاب العسكريين الذين أُعدموا بدم بارد. لكن الحساب جاء مباغتاً وقاسياً، إذ هبط أحد أخطر المتهمين في «مجزرة سبايكر» مكبلاً في العاصمة العراقية بغداد، بعد عملية استخباراتية نوعية عابرة للحدود.
