تعيش أسرة طفل يبلغ من العمر عشرة أعوام حالة ترقب ثقيلة في ولاية البيض الجزائرية، بينما تتواصل جهود الإنقاذ منذ ساعات طويلة بعد سقوطه داخل بئر جافة وعميقة في قرية الركن الواقعة بين الطريقين الوطنيين 107 و47 ببلدية الغاسول في دائرة بريزينة.
وتعمل فرق الحماية المدنية على مدار الساعة وسط تضاريس صعبة واحتمالات انهيار التربة، في محاولة للوصول إلى الطفل وإخراجه بأمان، فيما تتشبث العائلة بالأمل بأن تنتهي هذه الساعات القاسية بفرج قريب، بعيدًا عن النهاية المؤلمة التي عاشها العالم مع قصة الطفل المغربي ريان.
وبحسب بيانات الحماية المدنية، وقع الحادث ظهر الأربعاء، وتدخلت الفرق عند الساعة 12:15 بعد سقوط الطفل في بئر يصل عمقها إلى نحو 80 مترًا وقطرها إلى قرابة 40 سنتيمترًا. وتبيّن أن البئر محفورة بطريقة تقليدية وغير مغطاة بأنبوب حماية، وكانت مغطاة بلوح خشبي انهار لحظة مرور الطفل فوقه.
وتعقّد طبيعة البئر عملية الإنقاذ، إذ تشير المعطيات إلى أن جزءًا منها مردوم بالتراب حتى عمق يقارب 30 مترًا، بينما علق الطفل أسفل طبقة كثيفة من الأتربة، ما يجعل الوصول إليه عبر الفتحة الضيقة أمرًا بالغ الصعوبة.
ودفعت الحماية المدنية بفرق إضافية وآليات ثقيلة، مع تنفيذ حفر موازٍ للبئر واستخدام كاميرات خاصة لمعاينة العمق، في محاولة للوصول إلى الطفل دون التسبب في انهيارات جديدة. كما انتقل والي البيض نور الدين بلعريبي إلى موقع الحادث برفقة اللجنة الأمنية والسلطات المحلية، فيما جرى تجهيز طواقم طبية للتعامل مع الطفل فور إخراجه.
وأعادت الواقعة إلى الأذهان قصة الطفل المغربي ريان أورام الذي سقط في بئر ضيقة عام 2022، وشهدت محاولات إنقاذه متابعة عالمية واسعة قبل الإعلان عن وفاته بعد خمسة أيام من الجهود المتواصلة.
ورغم التشابه بين الحادثتين، تؤكد السلطات الجزائرية أن عملية الإنقاذ في البيض لا تزال مستمرة، وأنه لا يمكن استباق نتائجها، بينما تتركز الجهود على الوصول إلى الطفل بأكبر قدر من الحذر وسط متابعة ميدانية من الجهات المختصة، وأمل كبير يعلّق عليه أهله وسكان المنطقة..
A family of a ten-year-old boy is living in heavy anticipation in the Wilaya of El Bayadh, Algeria, as rescue efforts continue for many hours after he fell into a dry and deep well in the village of Rakan, located between the national roads 107 and 47 in the municipality of El Ghassoul in the Brizina district.
Emergency services are working around the clock amidst difficult terrain and the risk of soil collapse, in an attempt to reach the boy and bring him out safely, while the family clings to hope that these harsh hours will end with a near relief, far from the painful conclusion experienced by the world with the story of the Moroccan boy Rayan.
According to civil protection data, the incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon, and the teams intervened at 12:15 PM after the boy fell into a well that is about 80 meters deep and approximately 40 centimeters in diameter. It was found that the well was dug in a traditional manner and was not covered with a protective pipe, being covered instead with a wooden board that collapsed the moment the boy stepped on it.
The nature of the well complicates the rescue operation, as data indicates that part of it is filled with soil up to a depth of about 30 meters, while the boy is trapped beneath a dense layer of dirt, making access through the narrow opening extremely difficult.
The civil protection has deployed additional teams and heavy machinery, along with executing parallel digging to the well and using special cameras to inspect the depth, in an attempt to reach the boy without causing new collapses. The governor of El Bayadh, Nour Eddine Belaribi, also arrived at the accident site accompanied by the security committee and local authorities, while medical teams were prepared to deal with the boy as soon as he is rescued.
The incident has brought to mind the story of the Moroccan boy Rayan Oruam, who fell into a narrow well in 2022, and his rescue attempts received widespread global attention before his death was announced after five days of continuous efforts.
Despite the similarities between the two incidents, Algerian authorities confirm that the rescue operation in El Bayadh is still ongoing, and that the results cannot be anticipated, while efforts are focused on reaching the boy with the utmost caution amidst field monitoring by the relevant authorities, and a great hope that his family and the residents of the area are relying on.
