في مشهد دامٍ يبدو وكأنه انتُزع من أكثر أفلام العصابات دموية، استيقظ الشارع المكسيكي والوسط الفني على مجزرة جماعية مروعة أباد فيها مسلحون مجهولون عائلة فنان شهير بأكملها، بعدما أمطروا سيارتهم بوابل كثيف من الرصاص في قلب العاصمة المكسيكية.
لم يكن الضحية الرئيسية سوى الموسيقار والمطرب المعروف جوناثان ميلينديز، الذي غافله القتلة أثناء استقلاله السيارة رفقة أسرته، لتتحول الرحلة العائلية في لحظات إلى مذبحة بشعة لم ترحم حتى براءة الطفولة، إذ أسفر الهجوم الغادر عن مقتل المطرب، وزوجته التي كانت تنتظر مولودها في أشهر الحمل الأخيرة، وطفلهما الصغير، إضافة إلى مربية الأطفال واثنين من الأقارب.
باغت المسلحون المركبة بكثافة نارية مرعبة لم تترك للمجني عليهم أي فرصة للنجاة أو الهرب، قبل أن يفر الجناة بعيداً عن أنظار المارة، مخلّفين وراءهم سيارة مغطاة بالدماء وصدمة عارمة هزت أرواح المتابعين.
وفي الوقت الذي طوقت فيه الأجهزة الأمنية موقع الجريمة للتحفظ على أدلة المذبحة، أجمعت التقديرات والتحريات الأولية على أن العملية تحمل بصمات ونفوذ عصابات الجريمة المنظمة وتجار المخدرات التي تفرض سيطرتها بالحديد والنار في المنطقة، في حين يتواصل الغضب الشعبي والمطالبات الفنية لضبط الجناة وإنزال أقصى العقوبات بحق المعتدين.
In a bloody scene that seems to have been ripped from the most violent gang films, the Mexican street and the artistic community woke up to a horrific mass slaughter in which unknown gunmen wiped out the entire family of a famous artist, showering their vehicle with a heavy barrage of bullets in the heart of Mexico City.
The main victim was none other than the well-known musician and singer Jonathan Melendez, who was ambushed by the killers while driving with his family, turning the family trip into a gruesome massacre in moments, sparing even the innocence of childhood. The treacherous attack resulted in the deaths of the singer, his wife who was expecting their child in the final months of her pregnancy, their young child, as well as the nanny and two relatives.
The gunmen surprised the vehicle with a terrifying firepower that left the victims no chance to survive or escape, before fleeing away from the eyes of passersby, leaving behind a car covered in blood and a profound shock that shook the souls of the onlookers.
While security forces cordoned off the crime scene to preserve evidence of the massacre, initial estimates and investigations agreed that the operation bore the fingerprints and influence of organized crime gangs and drug traffickers who impose their control with iron and fire in the area, while public anger and artistic demands continue for the apprehension of the perpetrators and the imposition of the harshest penalties against the assailants.
