لقي رئيس جهاز الاستخبارات الإكوادوري ميشال سينسي كونتوغي وزوجته مصرعهما؛ إثر تحطم مروحية في محمية لويسابا للحياة البرية في كينيا؛ ما أسفر عن وفاة جميع الأشخاص السبعة الذين كانوا على متنها.
وأوضحت هيئة الطيران المدني الكينية أن المروحية تحطمت بعد نحو 13 دقيقة من إقلاعها، فيما فتحت السلطات تحقيقاً عاجلاً للوقوف على أسباب الحادث، وسط صعوبات في انتشال الجثث بسبب وعورة المنطقة الجبلية.
The head of the Ecuadorian intelligence agency, Michel Sensi Contughi, and his wife were killed in a helicopter crash in the Luisaba Wildlife Conservancy in Kenya, resulting in the death of all seven people on board.
The Kenyan Civil Aviation Authority stated that the helicopter crashed about 13 minutes after takeoff, while authorities have opened an urgent investigation to determine the causes of the incident, amid difficulties in retrieving the bodies due to the rugged mountainous area.
