في الوقت الذي تتواصل المعارك في ولاية شمال كردفان بين قوات الجيش السوداني والدعم السريع ، كشفت مصادر ميدانية وعسكرية سودانية، استسلام وانشقاق عدة مجموعات تابعة للدعم السريع.
وأكدت المصادر أن المجموعات المنشقة سلمت نفسها بكامل عتادها العسكري وقوامه 50 عربة قتالية إلى قوات الجيش السوداني في ولاية شمال كردفان والمناطق المجاورة، بالتزامن مع تقدم الجيش وسيطرته على عدة مناطق إستراتيجية في الولاية.
وأعلن وزير الدفاع السوداني حسن داؤود كبرون، أن قوات الجيش تتقدم في جميع المحاور، وتحقق انتصارات في المعركة الدائرة حالياً.
وكان الجيش السوداني أعلن في وقت سابق عن انضمام مئات من عناصر الدعم السريع في عدة محاور، خصوصاً شمال وغرب كردفان. وفي 31 يوليو أُعلن عن تسليم 45 عنصراً أنفسهم للجيش في أحدث الحالات المعلنة. وطالت الانشقاقات خلال العام الحالي عددا من القيادات الميدانية المؤثرة لقوات الدعم السريع .
وتشهد ولايات إقليم كردفان الثلاث، شمال وغرب وجنوب، اشتباكات بين قوات الجيش والدعم السريع منذ 25 أكتوبر الماضي، فيما سيطر الجيش على وسط البلاد وشرقها وشمالها، وحقق تقدماً كبيراً خلال الفترة الماضية، إذ تمكن من إبعاد قوات الدعم السريع إلى الغرب، والسيطرة على الطريق السريع الرابط بين أم درمان والأبيّض، أكبر مدن منطقة كردفان التي كانت قوات الدعم السريع تسعى منذ أشهر لتطويقها بصورة كاملة.
بينما تخضع الخرطوم لسيطرة الجيش منذ مارس 2025، بعدما استعادها من قوات الدعم السريع في عملية عسكرية واسعة.
ويشهد السودان منذ شهر أبريل من العام2023، حرباً بين قوات الجيش والدعم السريع، أسفرت عن عشرات الآلاف من القتلى، ونحو 13 مليون نازح، وفق تقديرات أممية ودولية.
As battles continue in North Kordofan between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces, Sudanese military and field sources have revealed the surrender and defection of several groups affiliated with the Rapid Support Forces.
The sources confirmed that the defecting groups surrendered with all their military equipment, consisting of 50 combat vehicles, to the Sudanese army in North Kordofan and the surrounding areas, coinciding with the army's advance and control over several strategic areas in the state.
Sudanese Defense Minister Hassan Dawood Kabron announced that the army is advancing on all fronts and achieving victories in the ongoing battle.
The Sudanese army had previously announced the joining of hundreds of Rapid Support Forces members on several fronts, particularly in North and West Kordofan. On July 31, it was announced that 45 members surrendered to the army in the latest reported cases. This year, defections have affected several influential field leaders of the Rapid Support Forces.
The three states of the Kordofan region—North, West, and South—have been witnessing clashes between the army and the Rapid Support Forces since October 25 of last year, while the army has controlled the central, eastern, and northern parts of the country, making significant progress in recent times, managing to push the Rapid Support Forces westward and take control of the highway linking Omdurman and Al-Obeid, the largest city in the Kordofan region, which the Rapid Support Forces had been trying to completely encircle for months.
Meanwhile, Khartoum has been under the control of the army since March 2025, after it was regained from the Rapid Support Forces in a wide military operation.
Since April 2023, Sudan has been experiencing a war between the army and the Rapid Support Forces, resulting in tens of thousands of deaths and around 13 million displaced persons, according to UN and international estimates.
