The official spokesman for the Coalition Forces to Support Legitimacy in Yemen, Major General, announced the participation of 100 fighter jets in the operation "Fajr Yemen," which launched today (Monday). Al-Maliki stated in tweets on the X platform: We have destroyed 324 high-value targets with the launch of the "Fajr Yemen" operation.
He confirmed that the coalition forces provide air support to assist the Yemeni armed forces on the ground around the clock, secure air protection for the Bab al-Mandab Strait, and continuously engage with moving targets.
Major General Al-Maliki had affirmed the continued leadership of the coalition's joint forces in providing full operational support to the Yemeni armed forces and their ongoing support for the legitimate Yemeni government and the brotherly Yemeni people to end the coup and restore the state and its national institutions to build Yemen's future.
He explained that the ongoing terrorist attacks by the Houthi militia and their repeated practices against the Yemeni people, including internal sieges, forced displacement of citizens from their cities and villages, and starvation, constitute blatant violations that have brought suffering and misery to Yemenis for many years. He pointed out the looting and sharing of resources by the militia, using them for what they call the war effort, as well as the abuse of tribal leaders and individuals, tearing apart the social fabric of Yemeni society across all its segments, terrorizing women, and recruiting children for their criminal agenda.
He added that the Houthi militia's attacks on the Kingdom and attempts to target Mecca and Medina, as well as the deliberate and systematic targeting of civilians and civilian objects in several cities of the Kingdom (Riyadh, Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan, Najran, Taif, and Yanbu), and attempts to target the Kingdom's ships in the southern Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab, necessitate the continuation of necessary and essential measures to deter the hostile actions of the terrorist militia in order to protect the security and sovereignty of the Kingdom and regional and international security.
Al-Maliki affirmed the Kingdom's inherent right to defend its sovereignty and protect its security and to take all operational measures to deter this militia and stop its grave violations, based on its national responsibility towards the Two Holy Mosques, its citizens, its national resources, and residents on its territory. He emphasized the continued support for Yemen and its brotherly people until the state and its institutions are restored and the terrorist Houthi militia is eliminated, ending its threat to maritime navigation freedom in the southern Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab, considering this threat a subversion of regional and international security and a threat to maritime navigation and international trade, which are vital to the global economy and affect the regional and international security and national interests of all countries.
