دخلت العملية العسكرية التي أطلقتها القوات المسلحة اليمنية ضد مليشيا الحوثي مرحلة ميدانية جديدة على الساحل الغربي، مع إعلان السيطرة على باب المندب، والطريق الرابط بين ذوباب والمخا وإحكام السيطرة النارية عليه.
و أعلن المتحدث باسم القوات المسلحة اليمنية ماجد النزيلي، اليوم (الإثنين)، أن قوات الجيش بدأت تنفيذ «هجوم استراتيجي» على صنعاء. وأضاف المتحدث: «نستخدم قدرات حديثة في تنفيذ الهجوم الاستراتيجي». وأفادت مصادر يمنية بأن غارات جوية تستهدف مواقع لمليشيا الحوثي في صنعاء.
ونقلت وكالة «رويترز»، عن مصادر عسكرية تأكيدها أن القوات الحكومية اليمنية تشن هجمات على الحوثيين من ثلاث جبهات في شمال اليمن وغربه وجنوبه.
وأكد النزيلي أن القوات الحكومية قطعت الطريق بين ذوباب والمخا وأحكمت السيطرة النارية عليه. وأضاف أن هناك المئات من المحاصرين من العناصر الحوثية بمنطقة ذوباب، مطالباً إياهم بتسليم أنفسهم للقوات الحكومية. وقال إن بعض عناصر الميليشيا الحوثية «هربوا بالقوارب عبر البحر بعد محاصرتهم». وشدد على أن العملية مستمرة لتحقيق أهدافها العملياتية.
كان رئيس مجلس القيادة الرئاسي الدكتور رشاد محمد العليمي، أعلن انطلاق عملية «فجر اليمن» لاستعادة مؤسسات الدولة وتحرير صنعاء وإنهاء الانقلاب. وقال في تدوينة على منصة إكس، اليوم (الإثنين): بإرادة شعبنا وبسالة قواتنا ودعم أشقائنا سيمضي اليمن نحو فجر جديد من الحرية والسلام والاستقرار.
وأفادت القوات المسلحة اليمنية بأن درع الوطن وألوية العمالقة تنفذان عملية واسعة بغطاء جوي، بعدما حررت مديرية ذوباب، وتواصل التقدم وفق الخطط المعتمدة في معركة إنهاء الانقلاب. فيما ذكرت مصادر عسكرية بأن القوات الحكومية سيطرت على باب المندب وتواصل تقدمها نحو مدينة المخا، مع محاصرة عناصر من مليشيات الحوثي في قطاع باب المندب وجزيرة ميون.
The military operation launched by the Yemeni armed forces against the Houthi militia has entered a new field phase on the western coast, with the announcement of control over Bab al-Mandab and the road linking Dhobab and Al-Mokha, and tightening fire control over it.
The spokesperson for the Yemeni armed forces, Majid Al-Nazili, announced today (Monday) that the army has begun implementing a "strategic attack" on Sana'a. The spokesperson added, "We are using modern capabilities in executing the strategic attack." Yemeni sources reported that airstrikes are targeting Houthi militia positions in Sana'a.
Reuters reported, citing military sources, that the Yemeni government forces are launching attacks on the Houthis from three fronts in northern, western, and southern Yemen.
Al-Nazili confirmed that government forces have cut off the road between Dhobab and Al-Mokha and tightened fire control over it. He added that there are hundreds of Houthi elements trapped in the Dhobab area, urging them to surrender to the government forces. He stated that some members of the Houthi militia "escaped by boats across the sea after being besieged." He emphasized that the operation continues to achieve its operational objectives.
The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, announced the launch of "Fajr Yemen" operation to restore state institutions, liberate Sana'a, and end the coup. He said in a post on X platform today (Monday): "With the will of our people, the bravery of our forces, and the support of our brothers, Yemen will move towards a new dawn of freedom, peace, and stability."
The Yemeni armed forces reported that the National Shield and the Giants Brigades are conducting a wide operation under air cover, after liberating the Dhobab district, and continue to advance according to the approved plans in the battle to end the coup. Meanwhile, military sources indicated that government forces have taken control of Bab al-Mandab and are continuing their advance towards the city of Al-Mokha, while besieging elements of the Houthi militias in the Bab al-Mandab sector and on Mayyun Island.
