ارتفعت حصيلة ضحايا الزلزال الذي بلغت قوته 7.4 درجة في كولومبيا إلى 304 قتلى، فيما بلغ عدد المصابين 4548، والمفقودين 426.
وأوضحت الوحدة الوطنية لإدارة مخاطر الكوارث في كولومبيا أن الزلزال ألحق أضراراً بـ134342 منزلاً، ودمر 29554 منزلاً آخر، فيما انهار 267 مبنى متعدد الطوابق، كما طالت الأضرار 303 منشآت صحية و3443 منشأة تعليمية و3905 منشآت عامة، إلى جانب 413 مقطعاً من الطرق و86 نظاماً لإمدادات المياه و49 جسراً للطرق و13 جسراً للمشاة و5 مطارات.
وأعلن رئيس كولومبيا أبيلاردو دي لا إسبرييا أن التقديرات الأولية للأضرار الناتجة عن الزلزال تقدّر بنحو 10 مليارات دولار.
وكان زلزال بلغت قوته 7.4 درجة قد ضرب صباح 10 أغسطس منطقة بالقرب من بلدية سان خوسيه ديل بالمار في مقاطعة تشوكو، وشعر بالهزات سكان مناطق واسعة من كولومبيا والدول المجاورة.
The death toll from the earthquake, which had a magnitude of 7.4 in Colombia, has risen to 304, while the number of injured has reached 4,548, and 426 are missing.
The National Unit for Disaster Risk Management in Colombia stated that the earthquake caused damage to 134,342 homes, destroyed another 29,554 homes, and caused the collapse of 267 multi-story buildings. The damage also affected 303 health facilities, 3,443 educational institutions, and 3,905 public facilities, in addition to 413 sections of roads, 86 water supply systems, 49 road bridges, 13 pedestrian bridges, and 5 airports.
Colombian President Abelardo de la Espriella announced that the preliminary estimates of the damages caused by the earthquake are around 10 billion dollars.
A 7.4 magnitude earthquake struck on the morning of August 10 near the municipality of San José del Palmar in Chocó department, and residents in wide areas of Colombia and neighboring countries felt the tremors.
