حذّرت منظمة الصحة العالمية من أن تفشي فيروس إيبولا في جمهورية الكونغو الديمقراطية لا يزال خارج نطاق السيطرة، مؤكدةً أن الوضع الميداني يزداد تعقيدًا بسبب استمرار انتقال العدوى داخل المجتمعات وصعوبة الوصول إلى بعض المناطق المتضررة.
وقالت المنظمة في بيانها الأخير: إن فرق الاستجابة تواجه تحديات كبيرة تتعلق بالعوامل الأمنية، والتنقل بين المناطق الريفية، إضافة إلى محدودية الموارد الطبية اللازمة لاحتواء التفشي. وأوضحت أن استمرار تسجيل حالات جديدة يشير إلى أن سلاسل العدوى لم تُكسر بعد، وأن الجهود الحالية تحتاج إلى تعزيز عاجل.
وأكدت المنظمة أن السيطرة على التفشي تتطلب تعاونًا أكبر بين السلطات الصحية المحلية والشركاء الدوليين، إلى جانب دعم المجتمعات المتضررة لرفع مستوى الوعي وتسهيل عمليات التتبع والعزل.
The World Health Organization has warned that the outbreak of the Ebola virus in the Democratic Republic of the Congo is still out of control, emphasizing that the field situation is becoming increasingly complex due to the continued transmission of the virus within communities and the difficulty of accessing some affected areas.
The organization stated in its latest announcement that response teams are facing significant challenges related to security factors, mobility between rural areas, as well as the limited medical resources needed to contain the outbreak. It clarified that the continued reporting of new cases indicates that the chains of transmission have not yet been broken, and that current efforts need urgent reinforcement.
The organization confirmed that controlling the outbreak requires greater cooperation between local health authorities and international partners, along with support for affected communities to raise awareness and facilitate tracking and isolation operations.
