ضرب زلزال بلغت قوته 4.8 درجة على مقياس ريختر عددًا من المناطق في إقليم بلوشستان الواقع جنوب غربي باكستان، في هزة أرضية جديدة أعادت التذكير بالنشاط الزلزالي المتكرر في تلك المنطقة الجغرافية الحساسة.
وأوضح المركز الوطني لرصد الزلازل أن مركز الهزة وقع على عمق 15 كيلومترًا، وعلى مسافة تُقدّر بـ122 كيلومترًا شمال شرقي منطقة زوب، ما جعل تأثيره محسوسًا في المناطق القريبة دون أن يُسجَّل وقوع خسائر بشرية أو أضرار مادية حتى اللحظة.
ويُعد إقليم بلوشستان من المناطق التي تشهد نشاطًا زلزاليًا متقطعًا؛ نظرًا لوقوعه على خطوط التقاء الصفائح التكتونية، الأمر الذي يجعل الهزات الأرضية جزءًا من المشهد الجيولوجي المعتاد.
وتواصل الجهات المختصة متابعة التطورات ورصد أي هزات ارتدادية محتملة، وسط تأكيدات بأن الوضع تحت السيطرة وأن فرق الطوارئ في جاهزية كاملة للتعامل مع أي مستجدات.
A 4.8 magnitude earthquake struck several areas in the Balochistan region located in southwestern Pakistan, in a new tremor that reminded of the recurring seismic activity in that sensitive geographical area.
The National Earthquake Monitoring Center clarified that the epicenter of the tremor was at a depth of 15 kilometers, and at a distance estimated to be 122 kilometers northeast of the Zob area, which made its impact felt in nearby areas without any recorded human casualties or material damages so far.
Balochistan is considered one of the regions that experience intermittent seismic activity due to its location on tectonic plate boundaries, which makes earthquakes a part of the usual geological landscape.
The relevant authorities continue to monitor developments and track any potential aftershocks, with assurances that the situation is under control and that emergency teams are fully prepared to handle any new developments.
