أعلنت إسبانيا الخميس، حالة طوارئ وطنية في منطقة مدريد ومقاطعة أفيلا بعد خروج حرائق الغابات عن السيطرة، بهدف تسريع حشد الموارد وإسناد إدارة الأزمة إلى وحدة الطوارئ العسكرية.
وأُجلي أكثر من 10 آلاف شخص خلال الأيام الماضية، بينهم 3500 من بلدة غربي مدريد، فيما صدرت أوامر لسكان عدد من بلدات أفيلا بالبقاء في منازلهم، كما أُخلي 1500 شخص من مجمعات سكنية وسياحية في منطقة إل تييمبلو.
ويواصل أكبر الحرائق اشتعاله في مقاطعة غوادالاخارا شمالي مدريد، بعدما أتى على نحو 32 ألف هكتار منذ اندلاعه الأسبوع الماضي.
ودعا رئيس الوزراء بيدرو سانشيز السكان إلى الالتزام بتعليمات السلطات، مؤكداً أن الحكومة سخّرت جميع الموارد المتاحة لمكافحة الحرائق في مدريد وأفيلا وليون وطليطلة ومناطق أخرى.
ووفق النظام الأوروبي لمعلومات حرائق الغابات (EFFIS)، أتت حرائق هذا العام على نحو 125 ألف هكتار في إسبانيا.
Spain announced a national state of emergency on Thursday in the Madrid region and the province of Ávila after wildfires got out of control, aiming to expedite resource mobilization and assign crisis management to the military emergency unit.
More than 10,000 people have been evacuated over the past few days, including 3,500 from a town west of Madrid, while orders were issued for residents of several towns in Ávila to stay in their homes. Additionally, 1,500 people were evacuated from residential and tourist complexes in the El Tiemblo area.
The largest fire continues to blaze in the province of Guadalajara north of Madrid, having consumed approximately 32,000 hectares since it ignited last week.
Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez urged residents to adhere to the authorities' instructions, emphasizing that the government has mobilized all available resources to combat the fires in Madrid, Ávila, León, Toledo, and other areas.
According to the European Forest Fire Information System (EFFIS), this year's fires have burned approximately 125,000 hectares in Spain.
