أمرت السلطات الصحية في المملكة المتحدة بسحب دفعة محددة من أحد المضادات الحيوية الشائعة من الصيدليات وتجار الجملة، بعد اكتشاف خطأ في النشرة الداخلية المرفقة ببعض العبوات، في خطوة احترازية تهدف إلى تجنب أي التباس لدى المرضى.
وأوضحت شركة «فلامينغو فارما المملكة المتحدة» أنها أخطرت وكالة تنظيم الأدوية ومنتجات الرعاية الصحية البريطانية بأن بعض عبوات كبسولات «فلوكلوكساسيلين BP» بتركيز 500 ملغ تحتوي على نشرة معلومات تخص دواء «أموكسيسيلين» بتركيز 500 ملغ، بدلاً من النشرة الصحيحة الخاصة بالدواء.
وعلى إثر ذلك، طلبت الشركة من الصيدليات وتجار الجملة وقف صرف أو توزيع الدفعة المتأثرة، وعزل أي مخزون متبقٍ وإعادته إلى المورد، مؤكدة أن القرار يأتي كإجراء احترازي رغم محدودية عدد العبوات التي شملها الخطأ.
وأكدت السلطات الصحية البريطانية أن الخطأ يقتصر على النشرة الداخلية، ولا يؤثر على جودة الدواء أو سلامته أو فعاليته، مشيرة إلى أن المرضى الذين حصلوا على الدواء يمكنهم الاستمرار في استخدامه وفقًا لتعليمات الطبيب، مع التنبيه إلى أن النشرة المرفقة غير صحيحة.
وأوضحت أن العبوات المتأثرة تحمل رقم التشغيلة 1600636، وتنتهي صلاحيتها في 31 أغسطس 2028، وقد بدأ توزيعها في 19 مايو 2026، داعية المرضى إلى استشارة الطبيب أو الصيدلي عند وجود أي استفسارات، والإبلاغ عن أي آثار جانبية محتملة عبر نظام «البطاقة الصفراء» التابع لوكالة تنظيم الأدوية.
ويُعد «فلوكلوكساسيلين» من المضادات الحيوية واسعة الاستخدام في المملكة المتحدة، حيث يُوصف لعلاج عدد من الالتهابات البكتيرية، خاصة التهابات الجلد والأنسجة الرخوة والعظام، ويستخدمه سنويًا نحو 1.6 مليون شخص من خلال أكثر من ثلاثة ملايين وصفة طبية.
تتبع المملكة المتحدة نظامًا صارمًا لمراقبة جودة وسلامة الأدوية، تشرف عليه وكالة تنظيم الأدوية ومنتجات الرعاية الصحية البريطانية، التي تصدر بشكل دوري تنبيهات واستدعاءات للمنتجات الدوائية عند رصد أي خلل في التصنيع أو التغليف أو المعلومات المرفقة، حتى وإن لم يكن لذلك تأثير مباشر على جودة الدواء أو سلامته.
ويُعد دواء فلوكلوكساسيلين أحد المضادات الحيوية من مجموعة البنسلين، ويستخدم لعلاج العدوى البكتيرية الناتجة عن أنواع معينة من البكتيريا، ولا يُصرف إلا بوصفة طبية، فيما يؤكد الأطباء على أهمية الالتزام بالنشرة الصحيحة وتعليمات الاستخدام لتجنب سوء الفهم أو الاستخدام غير الملائم للمضادات الحيوية، وهو ما يساعد أيضًا في الحد من مشكلة مقاومة البكتيريا للمضادات الحيوية.
The health authorities in the United Kingdom have ordered the withdrawal of a specific batch of a common antibiotic from pharmacies and wholesalers, after discovering an error in the information leaflet attached to some packages, in a precautionary step aimed at avoiding any confusion among patients.
The company "Flamingo Pharma UK" stated that it has notified the UK Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency that some packages of "Flucloxacillin BP" capsules at a concentration of 500 mg contain an information leaflet pertaining to "Amoxicillin" at a concentration of 500 mg, instead of the correct leaflet for the medication.
As a result, the company requested pharmacies and wholesalers to stop dispensing or distributing the affected batch, isolate any remaining stock, and return it to the supplier, confirming that the decision is a precautionary measure despite the limited number of packages involved in the error.
The British health authorities confirmed that the error is limited to the internal leaflet and does not affect the quality, safety, or efficacy of the medication, noting that patients who have received the medication can continue to use it according to their doctor's instructions, while being advised that the attached leaflet is incorrect.
It was clarified that the affected packages bear batch number 1600636, which expires on August 31, 2028, and began distribution on May 19, 2026, urging patients to consult their doctor or pharmacist if they have any questions, and to report any potential side effects through the "Yellow Card" system of the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency.
Flucloxacillin is one of the widely used antibiotics in the United Kingdom, prescribed for treating a number of bacterial infections, especially skin and soft tissue infections and bone infections, with approximately 1.6 million people using it annually through over three million prescriptions.
