أعلنت منطقة فينيتو، الواقعة شمال شرق إيطاليا، اليوم، حالة الطوارئ بسبب جفاف حاد، نتيجة انخفاض كمية الأمطار بنسبة 28% في الأشهر الخمسة الأولى من العام مقارنة بعام 2025.
وأشار رئيس منطقة البندقية، ألبرتو ستيفاني، إلى انخفاض تدفق الأنهار الرئيسية في فينيتو، داعيًا السلطات المحلية والسكان إلى تبني «استخدام أكثر اقتصادًا واستدامة للموارد المائية وتجنب أي هدر محتمل».
كما دعا نقابات المزارعين إلى استخدام المياه بمسؤولية نظرًا للخطر المحتمل لتفاقم نقص المياه خلال فترات الري المكثفة في شهري يوليو وأغسطس، بسبب قلة الأمطار.
The Veneto region, located in northeastern Italy, today declared a state of emergency due to severe drought, resulting from a 28% decrease in rainfall in the first five months of the year compared to 2025.
Alberto Stefani, the president of the Veneto region, pointed to a decline in the flow of major rivers in Veneto, urging local authorities and residents to adopt "a more economical and sustainable use of water resources and to avoid any potential waste."
He also called on farmers' unions to use water responsibly given the potential risk of worsening water shortages during the intensive irrigation periods in July and August, due to the lack of rainfall.
