أيدت هيئة التأديب الاستئنافية للأطباء التابعة لمحكمة استئناف القاهرة، الحكم الصادر من هيئة التأديب الابتدائية بالنقابة العامة للأطباء، بإيقاف الطبيب المصري المعروف بطبيب «سم النحل» على وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي، جودة عواد، عن مزاولة مهنة الطب لمدة عام، بعد رفض الاستئناف المقدم منه، ليصبح الحكم نهائياً واجب النفاذ.
وجاء القرار بعد ثبوت مخالفة الطبيب أحكام لائحة آداب مهنة الطب، في ضوء ما نُسب إليه من ممارسات وادعاءات علاجية اعتبرتها الجهات التأديبية مخالفة للأسس العلمية المنظمة للمهنة.
وقال ممثل الهيئة التأديبية بالنقابة العامة لأطباء مصر الدكتور شادي صفوت، إن الحكم الصادر من هيئة التأديب الاستئنافية برفض الاستئناف وتأييد عقوبة الإيقاف لمدة عام يُعد حكماً نهائياً، مؤكداً أن حماية المرضى والحفاظ على الممارسة الطبية القائمة على الدليل العلمي من أهم مسؤوليات النقابة.
وأضاف أن النقابة تتصدى لأي ممارسات أو ادعاءات علاجية تتعارض مع القواعد العلمية الثابتة أو تمثل دعاية طبية تخالف القوانين واللوائح المنظمة لممارسة المهنة.
وكانت هيئة التأديب بالنقابة العامة للأطباء قد أصدرت في أبريل 2025 قراراً بإيقاف جودة عواد عن مزاولة المهنة لمدة عام، مع إخطار الجهات المختصة بتنفيذ القرار، بعد تحقيقات تناولت مخالفات مهنية نسبت إليه.
وخلال السنوات الماضية، ارتبط اسم جودة عواد بعدد من الادعاءات العلاجية التي أثارت جدلاً واسعاً داخل الأوساط الطبية، من بينها الترويج لإمكانية علاج أمراض مزمنة وخطيرة، مثل السرطان، بوسائل ومنتجات غير مثبتة علمياً، إلى جانب تقديم نصائح لبعض المرضى بالتوقف عن العلاجات الموصوفة لهم من قبل أطبائهم.
كما أثارت تصريحاته المتعلقة بإمكانية استغناء بعض مرضى الفشل الكلوي عن جلسات الغسيل الكلوي مقابل اتباع برامجه العلاجية انتقادات وتحذيرات من متخصصين، أكدوا أن مثل هذه النصائح قد تعرض حياة المرضى لمضاعفات جسيمة إذا لم تستند إلى تقييم طبي معتمد وأدلة علمية موثقة.
وشهدت السنوات الأخيرة تحذيرات متكررة من نقابة الأطباء وعدد من أساتذة الطب بشأن الترويج لوصفات أو علاجات غير قائمة على الأدلة العلمية، مؤكدين أن الالتزام بالبروتوكولات العلاجية المعتمدة يمثل ركيزة أساسية لضمان سلامة المرضى.
ويأتي الحكم النهائي الصادر من هيئة التأديب الاستئنافية ليؤكد التزام الجهات المهنية بتطبيق قواعد وآداب ممارسة الطب، والتصدي للممارسات التي قد تؤثر على سلامة المرضى أو تخالف المعايير العلمية المعتمدة.
الدكتور جودة عواد، من مواليد 1960 بمدينة بنها بمحافظة القليوبية، طبيب مسجل بنقابة الأطباء منذ 2002.
حاصل على بكالوريوس الطب والجراحة، دبلوم الأمراض الباطنية من جامعة القاهرة 2018، ودبلومة في الباثولوجيا الإكلينيكية، كما يدعي حصوله على دكتوراه في التغذية العلاجية والمناعة والأمراض المزمنة، إضافة إلى دبلوم الدراسات الإسلامية من الأزهر الشريف.
عواد اشتهر بتقديم برامج تلفزيونية منذ 1985، وظهر على قنوات، كما يمتلك صفحة على «فيسبوك» يتابعها أكثر من 5.8 مليون شخص، وقناة على «يوتيوب».
عبر هذه المنصات، قدم عواد نصائح ووصفات علاجية لأمراض متنوعة مثل التهاب المفاصل، أمراض الكبد، الكلى، السكري، وأورام الثدي، مستخدماً منتجات مثل سم النحل والكركمين.
كما روج لعلاجات غير معتمدة علمياً، ما أثار انتقادات حادة من الأطباء ونقابة المهن الطبية.
وجهت نقابة الأطباء عدة اتهامات للدكتور عواد، منها تقديم وصفات علاجية غير معتمدة علمياً، مثل استبدال الإنسولين بأدوية فموية في حالة الطفلة المتوفاة، واستخدام الكركمين وسم النحل لعلاج أمراض مزمنة دون أدلة علمية، إضافة إلى التجاوز في التخصص، ومخالفة قوانين الإعلان الطبي، وإلحاق الضرر بالمرضى.
وفي إحدى الوقائع، كشف طبيب بمستشفى الحسين الجامعي عن مريضة كلى تدهورت حالتها بعد أن أوقف عواد أدوية الكلى والضغط واستبدلها بالكركمين، ما تطلب علاجاً مكلفاً لاحقاً.
في أعقاب الاتهامات الأولية عام 2022، نشر عواد فيديو عبر صفحته على «فيسبوك» للرد على الاتهامات، دافع فيه عن نفسه ونفى التسبب في وفاة الطفلة، مشيراً إلى أن «لا أحد يموت ناقص عمر».
وحظي الفيديو بدعم واسع من متابعيه، وأشاد البعض بعلمه ووصفاته العشبية.
كما ادعى عواد حصوله على دكتوراه فخرية من منظمة الأمم المتحدة للفنون تقديراً لجهوده العلمية، وهو ادعاء شككت فيه النقابة لعدم وجود دليل موثق.
في أبريل 2022، قررت نقابة الأطباء إحالة عواد للتحقيق بناءً على الشكاوى والاتهامات.
وفي أبريل 2025، استدعت النقابة عواد للمحاكمة التأديبية بعد تلقي شكاوى إضافية من أطباء ومواطنين، ودرست لجنة التحقيق مستندات الشكاوى ومحتوى عواد المنشور على وسائل الإعلام، وتأكدت من مخالفته للائحة آداب المهنة والأصول العلمية.
وأصدرت، يوم الخميس 18 أبريل 2025، هيئة التأديب بنقابة الأطباء قراراً بإيقاف الدكتور جودة عواد عن ممارسة المهنة لمدة عام، لمخالفته آداب المهنة، وعدم التزامه بالسلوك المهني، واستخدامه أساليب علاجية لم تُختبر علمياً، إضافة إلى الترويج لأدوية غير معتمدة عبر مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي.
The disciplinary appellate committee for doctors affiliated with the Cairo Court of Appeal upheld the ruling issued by the primary disciplinary committee of the General Medical Syndicate, suspending the well-known Egyptian doctor, known as the "Bee Venom Doctor" on social media, Joudah Awad, from practicing medicine for one year, after rejecting his appeal, making the ruling final and enforceable.
The decision came after it was proven that the doctor violated the provisions of the medical profession's code of ethics, in light of the practices and treatment claims attributed to him, which the disciplinary authorities considered to be contrary to the scientific foundations governing the profession.
Dr. Shadi Safwat, a representative of the disciplinary committee at the General Medical Syndicate of Egypt, stated that the ruling issued by the disciplinary appellate committee rejecting the appeal and upholding the one-year suspension is considered a final ruling, emphasizing that protecting patients and maintaining evidence-based medical practice is one of the syndicate's most important responsibilities.
He added that the syndicate confronts any practices or treatment claims that contradict established scientific principles or represent medical advertising that violates the laws and regulations governing the practice of the profession.
The disciplinary committee of the General Medical Syndicate had issued a decision in April 2025 to suspend Joudah Awad from practicing for one year, notifying the relevant authorities to implement the decision, following investigations into professional violations attributed to him.
In recent years, Joudah Awad's name has been associated with several treatment claims that have sparked widespread controversy within medical circles, including promoting the possibility of treating chronic and serious diseases, such as cancer, with unproven methods and products, in addition to advising some patients to stop the treatments prescribed to them by their doctors.
His statements regarding the possibility of some kidney failure patients foregoing dialysis sessions in favor of following his treatment programs also drew criticism and warnings from specialists, who confirmed that such advice could expose patients' lives to serious complications if not based on an approved medical assessment and documented scientific evidence.
In recent years, there have been repeated warnings from the Medical Syndicate and several medical professors regarding the promotion of recipes or treatments not based on scientific evidence, emphasizing that adherence to approved treatment protocols is a fundamental pillar to ensure patient safety.
The final ruling issued by the disciplinary appellate committee reaffirms the commitment of professional bodies to apply the rules and ethics of medical practice and to confront practices that may affect patient safety or violate established scientific standards.
Dr. Joudah Awad was born in 1960 in the city of Benha, Qalyubia Governorate, and has been a registered doctor with the Medical Syndicate since 2002.
He holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery, a diploma in internal medicine from Cairo University in 2018, and a diploma in clinical pathology, and he claims to have a PhD in therapeutic nutrition, immunology, and chronic diseases, in addition to a diploma in Islamic studies from Al-Azhar University.
Awad has been known for presenting television programs since 1985 and has appeared on various channels; he also has a Facebook page followed by more than 5.8 million people and a YouTube channel.
Through these platforms, Awad provided advice and treatment recipes for various diseases such as arthritis, liver diseases, kidney diseases, diabetes, and breast tumors, using products like bee venom and curcumin.
He also promoted scientifically unapproved treatments, which drew sharp criticism from doctors and the Medical Syndicate.
The Medical Syndicate has made several accusations against Dr. Awad, including providing scientifically unapproved treatment recipes, such as substituting insulin with oral medications in the case of a deceased child, and using curcumin and bee venom to treat chronic diseases without scientific evidence, in addition to exceeding his specialty, violating medical advertising laws, and harming patients.
In one incident, a doctor at Al-Hussein University Hospital revealed that a kidney patient’s condition deteriorated after Awad stopped her kidney and blood pressure medications and replaced them with curcumin, which later required expensive treatment.
Following the initial accusations in 2022, Awad published a video on his Facebook page to respond to the allegations, defending himself and denying causing the child's death, stating that "no one dies prematurely."
The video received wide support from his followers, with some praising his knowledge and herbal recipes.
Awad also claimed to have received an honorary doctorate from the United Nations for the Arts in recognition of his scientific efforts, a claim that the syndicate questioned due to the lack of documented evidence.
In April 2022, the Medical Syndicate decided to refer Awad for investigation based on complaints and accusations.
In April 2025, the syndicate summoned Awad for disciplinary trial after receiving additional complaints from doctors and citizens, and the investigation committee reviewed the documents of the complaints and Awad's published content on social media, confirming his violation of the code of ethics and scientific principles.
On Thursday, April 18, 2025, the disciplinary committee of the Medical Syndicate issued a decision to suspend Dr. Joudah Awad from practicing for one year for violating the ethics of the profession, failing to adhere to professional conduct, using untested treatment methods, and promoting unapproved medications through social media.
