لقى 8 أشخاص مصرعهم غرقاً، فيما أُصيب خمسة آخرون، اليوم (الثلاثاء) بعد سقوط مركبة «تروسيكل» كانت تقل عدداً من الأطفال والعمال الصغار داخل ترعة نجع حمادي بمحافظة أسيوط جنوب مصر.
وتلقت الأجهزة الأمنية بمديرية أمن أسيوط إخطاراً يفيد بسقوط مركبة «تروسيكل» في ترعة نجع حمادي بدائرة، وعلى الفور انتقلت قوات الشرطة والحماية المدنية، مدعومة بفرق الإنقاذ النهري وسيارات الإسعاف، إلى موقع البلاغ للتعامل مع الحادثة.
وتمكنت فرق الإنقاذ من انتشال الضحايا والمصابين من مياه الترعة، وجرى نقل المصابين إلى المستشفيات لتلقي الرعاية الطبية اللازمة، بينما أودعت جثامين المتوفين بالمشرحة تحت تصرف جهات التحقيق.
وكشفت التحريات الأولية أن «التروسيكل» كان يقل عدداً من الأطفال والعمال الصغار، قبل أن يفقد قائده السيطرة عليه، ما أدى إلى انحرافه وسقوطه داخل الترعة، فيما تواصل الأجهزة المختصة فحص ملابسات الحادث للوقوف على أسبابه بشكل دقيق.
وفي الوقت نفسه، واصلت فرق الإنقاذ النهري أعمال التمشيط داخل ترعة نجع حمادي للتأكد من عدم وجود مفقودين آخرين، بالتنسيق مع الأجهزة الأمنية والتنفيذية، بينما رفعت الأجهزة المختصة حالة الاستعداد بمحيط موقع الحادث.
وباشرت النيابة العامة التحقيق في الواقعة، وقررت معاينة موقع الحادثة، وطلب تحريات المباحث حول ملابساته، مع التصريح باتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية اللازمة، للوقوف على مدى وجود شبهة إهمال أو مسؤولية جنائية.
Eight people drowned, while five others were injured today (Tuesday) after a "tuk-tuk" vehicle, which was carrying a number of children and young workers, fell into the Nagaa Hamadi canal in Assiut Governorate, southern Egypt.
The security authorities in the Assiut Security Directorate received a notification about the fall of a "tuk-tuk" into the Nagaa Hamadi canal in the area, and immediately police and civil protection forces, supported by river rescue teams and ambulances, rushed to the scene to deal with the incident.
The rescue teams managed to retrieve the victims and the injured from the canal waters, and the injured were transported to hospitals to receive the necessary medical care, while the bodies of the deceased were placed in the morgue under the supervision of the investigative authorities.
Initial investigations revealed that the "tuk-tuk" was carrying a number of children and young workers before its driver lost control, causing it to veer off and fall into the canal, while the relevant authorities continue to examine the circumstances of the incident to determine its precise causes.
At the same time, river rescue teams continued their search operations inside the Nagaa Hamadi canal to ensure that there were no other missing persons, in coordination with security and executive agencies, while the relevant authorities raised their state of readiness around the incident site.
The Public Prosecution has initiated an investigation into the incident, decided to inspect the scene of the accident, and requested investigations by the police regarding its circumstances, while authorizing the necessary legal procedures to determine the extent of any negligence or criminal responsibility.
