عاشت رحلة جوية متجهة إلى العاصمة البريطانية (لندن) لحظات من التوتر، بعدما اضطرت طائرة ركاب تابعة لشركة Jet2 البريطانية إلى الهبوط اضطرارياً في ألمانيا؛ إثر تصاعد دخان مجهول المصدر داخل المقصورة، ما استدعى إعلان حالة الطوارئ وإجلاء جميع الركاب وأفراد الطاقم.
وقال متحدث باسم مطار إرفورت-فايمار (شرقي ألمانيا): إن الطائرة هبطت بسلام خلال ليل (الأحد/الاثنين) بعد ورود بلاغ عن "تصاعد دخان غير واضح المصدر" على متنها، مؤكداً أن الحادث لم يسفر عن أي إصابات بين الركاب أو أفراد الطاقم.
وكانت الطائرة، وهي من طراز إيرباص A321، تقل 225 راكباً إضافة إلى سبعة من أفراد الطاقم، وكانت في رحلة قادمة من اليونان ومتجهة إلى لندن عندما أطلق الطيار إنذار الطوارئ وقرر تحويل مسارها إلى أقرب مطار آمن.
وفور هبوط الطائرة، باشرت فرق الطوارئ عمليات الإخلاء، حيث تم نقل جميع الركاب إلى مبنى المطار وتقديم الرعاية والخدمات اللازمة لهم، بينما أجرت فرق الإطفاء تفتيشاً شاملاً للطائرة، دون أن تعثر على أي مؤشرات على اندلاع حريق.
وأوضح المتحدث باسم المطار أن الطائرة ستظل في إرفورت مؤقتاً لإجراء فحوصات فنية دقيقة من قبل خبراء شركة الطيران؛ بهدف تحديد مصدر الدخان والوقوف على أسباب الحادث.
وفي الوقت ذاته، دفعت شركة Jet2 بطائرة بديلة أقلعت من المملكة المتحدة إلى ألمانيا لنقل الركاب، قبل أن تغادر الرحلة البديلة مطار إرفورت متجهة إلى لندن في وقت لاحق من ظهر (الإثنين).
وتُعد بلاغات تصاعد الدخان داخل الطائرات من أخطر الحالات التي تواجه أطقم الطيران، إذ تُلزم الطيارين؛ وفق بروتوكولات السلامة الدولية، بالتعامل معها باعتبارها حالة طوارئ تستدعي الهبوط في أقرب مطار مناسب، حتى إن لم يتبين لاحقاً وجود حريق.
وتخضع مثل هذه الحوادث لتحقيقات فنية موسعة، تشمل فحص الأنظمة الكهربائية وأنظمة التكييف والمكونات الإلكترونية؛ نظراً لأن الدخان قد ينجم عن أعطال كهربائية أو احتراق محدود في أحد الأنظمة الداخلية أو تسرب سوائل إلى مكونات ساخنة، حتى في غياب ألسنة اللهب.
وتؤكد سلطات الطيران الأوروبية أن إجراءات الهبوط الاضطراري في مثل هذه الحالات تُعد إجراءً احترازياً يهدف إلى ضمان سلامة الركاب وأفراد الطاقم، وهو ما أسهم في إنهاء هذه الواقعة دون وقوع إصابات.
A flight heading to the British capital (London) experienced moments of tension after a Jet2 passenger plane was forced to make an emergency landing in Germany due to smoke of unknown origin rising inside the cabin, prompting the declaration of a state of emergency and the evacuation of all passengers and crew members.
A spokesperson for Erfurt-Weimar Airport (eastern Germany) stated that the plane landed safely during the night of (Sunday/Monday) after a report of "unidentified smoke" on board, confirming that the incident resulted in no injuries among passengers or crew members.
The aircraft, an Airbus A321, was carrying 225 passengers in addition to seven crew members, and was on a flight coming from Greece and heading to London when the pilot issued the emergency alert and decided to divert to the nearest safe airport.
Immediately upon landing, emergency teams began evacuation operations, transferring all passengers to the airport terminal and providing them with necessary care and services, while firefighting teams conducted a thorough inspection of the aircraft, finding no signs of a fire.
The airport spokesperson explained that the plane would remain in Erfurt temporarily for detailed technical inspections by the airline's experts to determine the source of the smoke and understand the causes of the incident.
At the same time, Jet2 dispatched a replacement aircraft that took off from the United Kingdom to Germany to transport the passengers, before the replacement flight departed Erfurt Airport heading to London later on (Monday) afternoon.
Reports of smoke rising inside aircraft are among the most serious situations faced by flight crews, as they require pilots, according to international safety protocols, to treat them as emergencies that necessitate landing at the nearest suitable airport, even if no fire is later found.
Such incidents are subject to extensive technical investigations, including inspections of electrical systems, air conditioning systems, and electronic components, as smoke may result from electrical malfunctions, limited burning in one of the internal systems, or fluid leaks onto hot components, even in the absence of flames.
European aviation authorities confirm that emergency landing procedures in such cases are a precautionary measure aimed at ensuring the safety of passengers and crew members, which contributed to resolving this incident without any injuries.
