- لقد تحدث الجميع عن إمكانيات اللاعب السعودي الفنية والبدنية، وحاجته الماسة للتطوير، بعد أن ظهرت الفوارق بوضوح في الالتحامات والمهارات الفردية. وبناءً على ذلك، أتوقع أن تشهد المرحلة المقبلة تغييرات متعددة في الخطط والبرامج، بل وحتى في نظام المنافسات وعدد المحترفين الأجانب؛ فاللاعب السعودي بات يؤدي دوراً مكملاً في الملعب وليس أساسياً، وصاحب ذلك شحٌّ كبير في المواهب والنجوم، لا سيما في المراكز الحساسة مثل الهجوم وحراسة المرمى. وأصبح الاعتماد كلياً على لاعبي الخبرة الذين تقدمت بهم الأعمار السنية، وبات من الصعب عليهم مجاراة حيوية اللاعبين الشباب، لذا من الأهمية بمكان إعادة النظر في الخطط والبرامج الفنية الحالية، ووضع دراسة علمية لتصحيح الوضع.
- إن سقوط اللاعبين على الأرض بعد نهاية مباراة «الرأس الأخضر» والإحباط الذي سيطر عليهم، نابعٌ بلا شك من غيرتهم الوطنية على شعار بلدهم، وإدراكهم أن كرة القدم لم تعد مجرد لعبة، بل هي عنوان عريض للانتشار والحضور الدولي. ومع ذلك، يجب أن نضع الإصبع على الجرح: فاللاعب السعودي أصبح مشبعاً مالياً دون أن يطور من أدواته، لعلمه المسبق أنه سيحصل على المقابل المجزي في النهاية، مما أضعف لديه الرغبة في صقل مستواه.
- وهنا يبرز تساؤل جوهري: رغم وجود الأكاديميات المدعومة، لماذا نواجه هذا الشح الكبير في المواهب؟ أين يكمن الخلل؛ هل هو في اللاعبين أنفسهم، أم في المدربين، أم في الخطط والبرامج الموضوعة من قِبل الاتحاد السعودي لكرة القدم؟
- وعلى صعيد الأندية؛ هل طوّرت الخصخصة من أدائها؟ ومتى نلمس ثمارها الحقيقية؟ الواقع يقول إن بعض الأندية التي خُصخصت ألغت أو جمّدت بعض الألعاب الجماعية على حساب كرة القدم، ولم يتحقق الدور المأمول منها بعد. أين الخلل إذن؟ ومتى وكيف يعود الأخضر إلى سابق عهده؟
- أسئلة كثيرة يطرحها الشارع الرياضي، الذي عاش إحباطاً متراكماً من نتائج الأخضر على مدار سنوات مضت، ويرغب في رؤية منتخبٍ يحقق نتائج تليق بتاريخه العريق في القارة الآسيوية.
- أصدقكم القول؛ إنني حزين جداً، وبشكل يفوق الوصف، ولا أستطيع أن أرى مستوى منتخبنا الوطني بهذا التراجع.. فقد تعودنا على منصات التتويج، وتعودنا أن يكون الأخضر دائماً على مستوى التطلعات في المحافل العالمية وكأس العالم.

There has been a complete reliance on experienced players who have aged, making it difficult for them to keep up with the vitality of young players. Therefore, it is crucial to reconsider the current technical plans and programs and to conduct a scientific study to correct the situation.
- The players falling to the ground after the end of the "Green Cape" match and the frustration that overwhelmed them undoubtedly stem from their national pride for their country's emblem and their realization that football is no longer just a game, but a broad title for international presence and spread. Nevertheless, we must point out the wound: the Saudi player has become financially saturated without developing his skills, knowing in advance that he will receive a rewarding return in the end, which has weakened his desire to refine his level.
- Here arises a fundamental question: Despite the existence of supported academies, why do we face this significant scarcity of talents? Where does the flaw lie; is it in the players themselves, or in the coaches, or in the plans and programs set by the Saudi Football Federation?
- On the club level; has privatization improved their performance? When will we feel its true fruits? The reality says that some clubs that were privatized have canceled or frozen some team sports at the expense of football, and the expected role from them has not yet been achieved. Where is the flaw then? When and how will the Green return to its former glory?
- Many questions are raised by the sports community, which has experienced accumulated frustration from the Green's results over the years and desires to see a team that achieves results befitting its rich history in the Asian continent.
- I must tell you honestly; I am very sad, beyond description, and I cannot bear to see our national team's level in such decline... We have become accustomed to the podiums of victory, and we have become used to the Green always meeting expectations in global forums and the World Cup.
