في لحظاتٍ تختلط فيها الدهشة بالتوتر، تحوّلت رحلة جوية عادية إلى مشهد إنساني استثنائي، حين باغتت آلام المخاض إحدى الراكبات قبل دقائق من الهبوط، ليظهر على متن الطائرة «راكب سري» لم يكن ضمن قائمة المسافرين، ويكتب قصة ولادة نادرة بين السماء والأرض.
فقد شهدت رحلة متجهة إلى مطار جون إف كينيدي الدولي واقعة غير مألوفة، بعدما وضعت راكبة مولودها على متن الطائرة قبيل وصولها بلحظات، في حدث بدا وكأن طفلاً انضم فجأة إلى الرحلة دون تذكرة. وذكرت صحيفة «نيويورك بوست» أن الراكبة دخلت في حالة مخاض خلال الدقائق الأخيرة من رحلة تابعة لشركة الخطوط الجوية الكاريبية، القادمة من كينغستون إلى نيويورك.
وسرعان ما تحولت الطائرة من طراز بوينغ 737 ماكس 8 إلى ما يشبه غرفة طوارئ، وتعامل طاقم الطائرة مع الحالة، فيما طلب الطيار أولوية الهبوط بشكل عاجل لتأمين سلامة الأم والطفل.

وفي لحظة لافتة خففت من حدة التوتر، أظهرت تسجيلات المراقبة اقتراح أحد المسؤولين تسمية المولود «كينيدي»، في إشارة إلى اسم المطار والرئيس الأمريكي السابق، في تعليق طريف وسط أجواء مشحونة.
وبعد تصحيح اللبس الأولي الذي فُهم فيه البلاغ على أنه حالة مرضية عادية، تم منح الطائرة مساراً مباشراً للهبوط، مع تجهيز فريق طبي لاستقبال الحالة فور الوصول.
