أعلنت هيئة قناة السويس انتظام حركة الملاحية بالمجرى الملاحي للقناة في الاتجاهين، مؤكدة أن حركة الملاحة لم تتأثر بحادث جنوح سفينة البضائع العامة FENER الذي وقع خارج المجرى الملاحي.
وأكد رئيس هيئة قناة السويس الفريق أسامة ربيع أن حادث جنوح السفينة FENER وقع بمنطقة الانتظار الغربية شمال مدينة بورسعيد، على مسافة 5 أميال غرب المدخل الشمالي لقناة السويس بالبحر المتوسط.
وأوضح ربيع أن السفينة الجانحة بمنطقة الانتظار يبلغ طولها 122 متراً وغاطسها 3.5 متر، بحمولة 4 آلاف طن، كانت قادمة من تركيا لتحميل شحنة من الملح بميناء شرق بورسعيد وبعد مغادرة السفينة للميناء ونتيجة سوء الأحوال الجوية طلب ربان السفينة الانتظار في منطقة المخطاف ببورسعيد لحين تحسن الأحوال الجوية.
متابعة تطورات الموقف
وأضاف أن فريق الإنقاذ البحري التابع للهيئة تلقى إخطاراً من السفينة بوجود فتحة بأحد العنابر أسفرت عن دخول المياه لبدن السفينة، وكإجراء احترازي قام ربان السفينة بالتحرك جنوب منطقة الانتظار لشحط السفينة خوفاً من غرقها قبل وصول فريق الإنقاذ البحري.
ووجه الفريق أسامة ربيع مركز إدارة الأزمات والكوارث التابع للهيئة بمتابعة تطورات الموقف عن كثب ضمن مهماته في التنسيق مع الجهات الخارجية في إدارة الأزمات التي تقع خارج نطاق المجرى الملاحي للقناة.
وأكد الفريق ربيع جاهزية الهيئة للتعاون وتقديم المساعدات اللازمة في حال تطلب الأمر لذلك، لافتاً إلى ما تمتلكه الهيئة من منظومة متكاملة تزخر بكفاءات ملاحية وخبرات متراكمة في أعمال الإنقاذ البحري ووحدات بحرية متخصصة في أعمال الإنقاذ البحري والتأمين الملاحي ومكافحة التلوث.
وشهدت حركة الملاحة بالقناة اليوم (الثلاثاء) عبور 35 سفينة من الاتجاهين بإجمالي حمولات صافية قدرها 1.6 مليون طن.
The Suez Canal Authority announced the regularity of navigation traffic in the canal's waterway in both directions, confirming that navigation was not affected by the grounding incident of the general cargo ship FENER, which occurred outside the navigation channel.
Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority, Lieutenant General Osama Rabie, confirmed that the grounding of the FENER ship occurred in the western waiting area north of Port Said, approximately 5 miles west of the northern entrance to the Suez Canal in the Mediterranean Sea.
Rabie explained that the grounded ship in the waiting area is 122 meters long with a draft of 3.5 meters and a cargo capacity of 4,000 tons. It was coming from Turkey to load a shipment of salt at East Port Said port, and after leaving the port, due to adverse weather conditions, the ship's captain requested to wait in the anchorage area of Port Said until the weather improved.
Monitoring the Situation Developments
He added that the marine rescue team affiliated with the authority received a notification from the ship about a breach in one of the holds that resulted in water entering the hull of the ship. As a precautionary measure, the ship's captain moved south of the waiting area to beach the ship for fear of it sinking before the marine rescue team arrived.
Lieutenant General Osama Rabie directed the Crisis and Disaster Management Center of the authority to closely monitor the developments of the situation as part of its tasks in coordinating with external entities in managing crises that occur outside the navigation channel.
Rabie confirmed the authority's readiness to cooperate and provide necessary assistance if required, noting the comprehensive system the authority possesses, which is rich in maritime competencies and accumulated expertise in marine rescue operations, specialized marine units for marine rescue, maritime insurance, and pollution control.
Today (Tuesday), the navigation traffic in the canal witnessed the passage of 35 ships from both directions with a total net tonnage of 1.6 million tons.
