أعلنت شركة مصر للطيران تعليق جميع رحلاتها الجوية من وإلى مطاري أسوان وأبو سمبل جنوب مصر، لحين تحسن الأحوال الجوية، بسبب ما تشهده مدينتا أسوان وأبو سمبل من سوء للأحوال الجوية، وما يصاحب ذلك من انخفاض في مستوى الرؤية، بما يؤثر على حركة الملاحة الجوية.
وأكدت مصر للطيران، الناقل الوطني المصري، أن هذا الإجراء يأتي نتيجة ظروف قهرية طارئة، مؤكدة أن «السلامة الجوية دائماً في مقدمة أولوياتها» في جميع العمليات التشغيلية، وذلك حرصاً على تطبيق أعلى معايير السلامة الجوية وضمان أمن وسلامة الركاب.
وأوضحت مصر للطيران أن مركز العمليات المتكامل يواصل متابعة تطورات الموقف التشغيلي على مدار الساعة، بالتنسيق المستمر مع محطة أسوان وأبو سمبل وكافة الجهات المعنية، لحين عوده التشغيل إلى طبيعته في أقرب وقت ممكن.
وناشدت الشركة عملاءها متابعة رحلاتهم من خلال القنوات الرسمية للشركة، بما في ذلك مكاتب البيع، ومركز خدمة العملاء، والموقع الإلكتروني، للاطلاع على أي تحديثات أولاً بأول.
وشهدت حركة الملاحة الجوية في جنوب مصر اليوم الجمعة تأثراً حاداً، بسبب تقلبات جوية سريعة شهدتها منطقتا أسوان وأبو سمبل، تمثلت أساساً في انخفاض حاد في مستوى الرؤية الأفقية نتيجة الرياح القوية والأتربة المثارة، وهي ظاهرة شائعة نسبياً في المناطق الصحراوية خلال فترات عدم الاستقرار الجوي الشتوية.

EgyptAir explained that the integrated operations center continues to monitor the developments of the operational situation around the clock, in continuous coordination with the Aswan and Abu Simbel stations and all relevant authorities, until operations return to normal as soon as possible.
