لقي 15 شخصا مصرعهم وأصيب 19 آخرون، فجر أمس (الإثنين)، في حادثة مرورية مروعة وقعت عند تقاطع مخرج طريق «كرابياك» السريع بمدينة سمارانج، عاصمة مقاطعة جاوة الوسطى في إندونيسيا، وفق ما أعلنت السلطات المحلية.
وأفاد مكتب البحث والإنقاذ في سمارانج بأن حافلة ركاب كانت تسير بسرعة كبيرة فقد سائقها السيطرة عليها، ما أدى إلى اصطدامها بحاجز الطريق قبل أن تنقلب، مخلفة عشرات الضحايا بين قتيل وجريح.
وقال إن فرق الإنقاذ اضطرت إلى الدخول إلى الحافلة وفتح ممرات خاصة للوصول إلى الضحايا، والعمل بحذر شديد أثناء إخراجهم لتفادي تفاقم إصاباتهم.
وأكدت السلطات أنه تم إجلاء جميع الضحايا ونقلهم إلى المستشفيات المحلية لتلقي العلاج اللازم، فيما باشرت الجهات المختصة تحقيقاتها للوقوف على ملابسات الحادثة وتحديد المسؤوليات.
Fifteen people were killed and 19 others were injured early yesterday (Monday) in a horrific traffic accident that occurred at the intersection of the "Krapiak" highway exit in Semarang, the capital of Central Java province in Indonesia, according to local authorities.
The Semarang Search and Rescue Office reported that a passenger bus was traveling at high speed when the driver lost control, leading it to collide with a road barrier before overturning, resulting in dozens of casualties among the dead and injured.
They stated that rescue teams had to enter the bus and open special passages to reach the victims, working with extreme caution while extracting them to avoid worsening their injuries.
Authorities confirmed that all victims were evacuated and transported to local hospitals for necessary treatment, while the relevant authorities began their investigations to determine the circumstances of the incident and assign responsibilities.
