في مشهد صادم أثار غضب وتعاطف المصريين، ظهرت الأم أميرة عبده على مقطع فيديو متداول وهي تواجه أصعب قرار في حياتها: عرض أطفالها الأربعة للبيع بسبب الفقر المدقع وطردها من شقتها. الكلمات القليلة التي نطقت بها «4 عيال للبيع.. مش لاقية أكل ولا مكان نقعد فيه» أشعلت مواقع التواصل، وجعلت الجمهور يعيش لحظة يأس لم يسبق لها مثيل.
وتروي أميرة عبده أنها تكافح منذ ست سنوات بمفردها بعد أن هجرها زوجها ولم يرسل أي نفقة، مكتفية بمبلغ زهيد طوال الأعوام الماضية. وازدادت الأزمة سوءًا بعد سفر الزوج للعمل خارج البلاد وانقطاع أخباره خلال جائحة كورونا، بالإضافة إلى تراكم إيجار الشقة، ما دفعها لعرض أطفالها في لحظة يأس قصوى، في محاولة لحمايتهم من التشرد والجوع.
ردًا على الفيديو الذي أثار ضجة كبيرة، تدخلت الحكومة المصرية بسرعة. وأكد وزير العمل محمد جبران أن الأم وأطفالها سيحصلون على دعم كامل، مع تقديم إعانة عاجلة، وتأمين فرصة عمل مستدامة تضمن لهم حياة كريمة. كما طلب الوزير من الأم إرسال أوراقها الرسمية لتسهيل الإجراءات، لضمان استمرار الرعاية الحكومية بشكل فوري.
وأوضحت الرئيسة التنفيذية لصندوق الإسكان الاجتماعي في مصر المهندسة مي عبدالحميد أن الدولة تتابع حالة الأم شخصياً، مع وضع حلول عاجلة تشمل توفير سكن دائم أو دعم وفق أنظمة الإيجار القديم، لضمان استقرار الأطفال والأم بعيدًا عن المخاطر والفقر. وتعد هذه المبادرة نموذجًا فريدًا لتدخل سريع وفعّال لإنقاذ الأسر في أشد لحظاتها ضعفًا.

Amira Abdu recounts that she has been struggling alone for six years after her husband abandoned her and did not send any support, relying on a meager amount throughout the past years. The crisis worsened after her husband traveled abroad for work and lost contact during the COVID-19 pandemic, in addition to the accumulation of rent, which drove her to offer her children in a moment of extreme desperation, in an attempt to protect them from homelessness and hunger.
In response to the video that caused a huge uproar, the Egyptian government intervened quickly. Minister of Labor Mohamed Gibran confirmed that the mother and her children would receive full support, along with immediate assistance and the provision of a sustainable job opportunity to ensure them a decent life. The minister also requested the mother to send her official documents to facilitate the procedures, ensuring immediate continuation of government care.
The CEO of the Social Housing Fund in Egypt, Engineer Mai Abdelhamid, clarified that the state is personally monitoring the mother's situation, with urgent solutions being put in place, including providing permanent housing or support according to old rental systems, to ensure the stability of the children and the mother away from risks and poverty. This initiative represents a unique model of rapid and effective intervention to save families in their most vulnerable moments.
