إعدام امرأة قتلت ابنة زوجها في إيران

The Iranian judicial authorities announced the execution of a woman in the northwest of the country, after she was convicted of killing her 4-year-old stepdaughter, in a crime that shocked local public opinion.
The Mizan Online news agency, affiliated with the judiciary, reported that the child, referred to as "Ava," died in December 2023 from brain injuries resulting from an assault by her stepmother. The court issued the retribution sentence in March 2024, which allowed the victim's family to demand the execution, and the Supreme Court later upheld this ruling.
The head of the judiciary in West Azerbaijan, Nasser Atabati, indicated that the execution took place early this morning (Saturday) after the child's mother strongly demanded retribution. The authorities did not disclose the name of the woman who was executed at dawn.
